🏏 SLOUGH WARRIORS – A SEASON TO REMEMBER 🏏

So close to history.

Slough Warriors’ magnificent 2026 season ended just two balls short of an unprecedented treble, as they finished National Championship runners-up after a superb Finals weekend at Burnham CC.

Already Slough Premier League Champions and South East Regional Champions, Warriors arrived at Nationals chasing something no side had achieved before – all three titles in the same season.

They came remarkably close.

After beating FIG-JAM London by 33 runs in the Last 16, Warriors then overcame former National Champions and World Finalists The Conquerors by five wickets in the quarter-final, booking their place at Burnham CC for Sunday’s Finals Day.

Sunday brought Commonwealth of Chaos in the semi-final. Set 167, Warriors were guided by another superb innings from Donald McDonald, who retired on 50 from 33 balls*, while Haseeb Haider contributed 28 from 15 after taking 2/21 with the ball. Syed Bukhari’s 20 from just seven balls* helped finish the job with three balls remaining.

Waiting in the final were Becontree Homes, the defending 2025 National Champions.

Warriors made 176/6, recovering through Syed Sikandar Mehdi’s 57 from 30* and a blistering 42 from 19 from Abdur Rab.

Warriors started strongly in the field, reducing Becontree to 9/1 after the opening couple of overs and giving themselves early belief that the treble could be on. But that early setback seemed to spark the defending champions into life. Becontree put their foot down and moved into a strong position.

Warriors, as they have done all season, kept fighting and took the contest into the final over before Becontree reached 177/3 in 19.4 overs, sealing the title with just two balls to spare.

🏏 SLOUGH WARRIORS MARCH INTO THE NATIONAL SEMI-FINALS! 🏏
What a day for Slough Warriors, who are through to the Last Man Stands National Championship semi-finals after two superb performances on Saturday.

The South East Regional champions began their campaign with an emphatic 33-run victory over FIG-JAM London in the Last 16.

Warriors posted an imposing 184/5, led by half-centuries from Sahaan John (50 off 30)* and Haseeb Haider (50 off 28), with Syed Bukhari (36 off 16) and Donald McDonald (22 off 10) providing further firepower.

FIG-JAM were then restricted to 151/5, with Haider completing an outstanding all-round performance with 1/21 from four overs to take Player of the Match.
That set up a huge quarter-final against 2023 National Champions and World Finalists The Conquerors.

Despite a blistering 70 from 33 balls from Umer Riaz, Warriors produced an excellent bowling display to dismiss The Conquerors for 143 in 19.4 overs.

The star was Syed Bukhari, whose magnificent 4/21 from four overs earned him Player of the Match, while Najeeb Bashir Malik claimed 2/29.
Warriors then made light work of the chase.

After losing both openers early, Donald McDonald launched a spectacular counter-attack, smashing 52 from just 20 balls*, including six fours and three sixes.

At the other end, Najeeb produced the perfect supporting innings, retiring on 50 from 37*, before Bukhari capped his day with 19 from 12*.

Warriors reached 144/3 in just 16.3 overs, sealing a five-wicket victory and their place among the final four.
Two matches. Two commanding victories. And the dream of becoming National Champions is still very much alive.

Slough Warriors head to the Wise England National Championships this weekend as Slough Premier League and South East Regional champions, looking to complete a remarkable 2026 treble on home soil.

They arrive having conquered two of the toughest competitions on the LMS calendar. The Slough Premier League is arguably one of the top three leagues in the country and one of the hardest to win, while the South East Regionals bring together leading sides from one of English LMS cricket’s strongest regions.
Warriors are three-time Slough Premier champions (2018, 2020 & 2026) and three-time South East Regional champions (2018, 2019 & 2026). They were also 2019 National finalists, losing to Farani Taylor Stallions, who went on to become World Champions.

🏆 CHECKOUT SLOUGH SUNDAY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS – OLD HESTONIANS 🏆

Old Hestonians are the 2026 Checkout Slough Sunday League champions, successfully retaining their title after another dominant campaign.

They finished with 128 points from 15 matches, winning 13 and losing only two, ending a huge 28 points clear of AL-FALAQ Champions in second. Their +2.631 net run rate was comfortably the best in the division and reflected just how emphatic many of those victories were.

The batting depth was formidable. Zakir Ali led the way with 475 runs from 12 innings at an average of 118.75, passing fifty seven times. Adnaan Haq struck 441 runs at 88.20, while Pankaj Arora added 400 at a strike rate of 228.57. Khurram Gouhar made 340, Mohammed Ali 314 and Zeeshan Gauher 297, ensuring there was rarely any respite for opposition attacks. Arpit Chahal was another extraordinary contributor, hammering 277 runs in just six innings at a strike rate of 311.24, with five fifties.

With the ball, Salman Gauher led the attack superbly, taking 22 wickets at 16.41, including best figures of 4/18. Zeeshan Gauher claimed 15 wickets, Jamal Ali took 10, while Pankaj Arora and Adnaan Haq picked up eight apiece.
The champions produced some crushing victories along the way, beating London Strikers by 107 runs, Witty Wobblers by 57 and recording another 96-run victory in late May. Their only two defeats came in the first half of the campaign, and after losing to The Bouayz on 28 June they responded like champions, winning their final six league matches.

That run included a 37-run win over Witty Wobblers, a seven-wicket victory over second-placed AL-FALAQ Champions and a huge 112-run success over The Bouayz before signing off with another victory on 9 August.

Thirteen wins from fifteen, a 28-point winning margin and back-to-back titles.

🏆 CHECKOUT SLOUGH DIVISION 4 CHAMPIONS – UPTON GENERALS II 🏆

Upton Generals II are the 2026 Checkout Slough Division 4 champions, completing a superb league double for the club after the first team also lifted the Division 2 title.

The Generals finished with an outstanding 148 points from 18 matches, winning 15 and losing just three. They ended 13 points clear of Cippenham Cavaliers, while their imposing +2.108 net run rate was comfortably the best in the division.

Crucially, Upton also completed the double over their nearest challengers. They beat Cippenham by 23 runs in May after posting 227/3, then won the return fixture by six wickets in July — two results which carried huge significance in the eventual title race.

The batting numbers were exceptional. Faaris Ali produced a remarkable season, scoring 738 runs from 18 innings at an average of 147.6, with nine fifties and a highest score of 92. Muhammad Yar amassed 487 runs at 162.33, striking at over 220 and passing fifty eight times, while Zain Awan added 459 runs with five fifties.

The firepower continued throughout the order. Shahrukh Ali struck 327 runs at 65.4 and a strike rate of 235.25, while Mohammad Mohsin Rasheed hammered 260 runs at 130, including a top score of 90. It was a batting line-up capable of putting games beyond opponents very quickly.

That showed repeatedly in the results. Upton beat Langley Stars by 118 runs, Kashmir CC by 80 runs in June and then by 85 runs in August, while Berkshire Zalmi II were beaten by 61 runs. Scores above 200 became a regular feature of their campaign, including 229/2 against Berkshire Zalmi II and 249/5 against Kashmir CC.

After their third and final defeat against Aptus Estates on 30 July, Upton responded exactly as champions should, winning their final four matches to finish the job.

Fifteen wins, huge batting performances and decisive victories over their closest rivals — a commanding title campaign.

🏆 CHECKOUT SLOUGH DIVISION 3 CHAMPIONS – SEHNSA TIGERS 🏆

Sehnsa Tigers are the 2026 Checkout Slough Division 3 champions after coming out on top in one of the tightest title races of the Slough season.
They finished with 122 points from 16 matches, winning 11 and losing five, edging Langley Challengers by just two points despite Langley recording 12 victories. Sehnsa’s dominance when they did win is reflected in an outstanding +1.942 net run rate, comfortably the best in the division.

Their batting was one of the strongest units in the league. Sohail Qaiser led the scoring with 485 runs at 60.63, striking at over 200 and passing fifty five times. Farhaan Khan was equally influential, compiling 418 runs at 69.67 with six fifties, while Ejaz Khan Ahmed added 398 runs at a strike rate above 200.

Mubashar Iqbal contributed 365 runs at 52.14, and Zain Khan made 309 runs at 77.25, giving Sehnsa enviable depth throughout the order.

Farhaan’s contribution extended well beyond the bat. He also topped Sehnsa’s bowling with 15 wickets at 21.27, including a best of 3/15. Annas Khan collected 13 wickets, while Abeel Chaudhry and Mubashar Iqbal took 12 each, Mubashar producing the side’s best figures of 4/13.

Sehnsa were capable of blowing teams away, and some of their winning margins underline just how dangerous they were. They beat Quick & Easy Strikers by 93 runs in May before hammering GR8 Connect by 98 runs in June. A second meeting with Quick & Easy brought another emphatic 87-run victory, while August saw them defeat Reckitt by 91 runs as the championship battle reached its decisive stages.

In a division where there was almost no margin for error, those big performances mattered. A powerful batting line-up, a balanced attack and the ability to turn victories into emphatic ones ultimately carried Sehnsa Tigers over the line.

🏆 CHECKOUT SLOUGH DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONS – UPTON GENERALS 🏆

Upton Generals are the 2026 Checkout Slough Division 2 champions after producing a powerful campaign built on depth, firepower and a relentless finish to the season.

They ended the league on 118 points from 16 matches, winning 12 and losing just 4, with a superb net run rate of 1.285. In a competitive division, that was enough to finish six points clear of Outlaws A, while Punjab Lions and Maidenhead Royals were left further back. The table tells its own story: when the pressure came on, Upton found another gear.

And that finish was emphatic. After a mixed spell in the middle of the season, Upton closed out the campaign with 10 consecutive victories, turning a strong season into a title-winning one. That run included a crucial 8-wicket win over Outlaws A on 18 August, a result that went a long way towards settling the championship race, and they signed off by beating Slough Strikers by 20 runs in their final fixture.

There was quality everywhere in the batting card. Faaris Ali led the way with 539 runs in 16 innings at 67.38, including a century and four fifties, while also striking at 169.5. If consistency mattered, explosiveness mattered too, and Shahrukh Ali provided plenty of it, smashing 441 runs in just 8 innings at an average of 220.5 and an extraordinary strike rate of 302.05, with seven fifties. Mohammad Mohsin Rasheed was another major weapon, blasting 430 runs at 143.33, while Adil Azeem added 349 runs, and Zain Awan chipped in with 347.

With the ball, Upton were just as well equipped. Faaris Ali completed a brilliant all-round season by topping the wickets chart with 16 wickets, including a best of 5/17. Adil Azeem backed that up with 9 wickets, while Pushant Prashar and Nayeemul Islam claimed 6 each, giving the side balance and control throughout the campaign.

A team with big scorers, multiple match-winners and a title-defining winning streak at exactly the right time, Upton Generals fully earned their place as 2026 Checkout Slough Division 2 champions.
