A huge well done to the team at Keysoe International for what they have been able to do opening the doors to people within the Equestrian industry having a safe space to talk about any safeguarding issues going on, including historic ones that went on.

Over the past 18 months the safeguarding calls I have been most shocked about are those involving s*x trafficking of girls & the transporting of Class A drugs inside mares.

When parents call you to say they have had to extract their young daughters, who have been put through their HGV at work, purely so they can be used to transport horses full of class A drugs. The parents are worried sick and the young women feel utterly terrified and intimidated.

I have also had reports of a young apprentice being beaten with a metal bar, another young man being blackmailed over his s*xuality.

The Safeguarding team over at EQUISS are ready to take your call. Independent, confidential & a trauma informed team to support you with anything you need to discuss. It can be an historic issue or something that is happening now. They are there to support you.

Are you an equine coach?
Do you have your first aid, Enhanced DBS, and safeguarding?
We are looking for a coach / coaches to teach at weekends. This would be weekly work and could be 1 or 2 people. Days would include a Saturday morning and all day Sunday
Riders are regular riders and are from beginner up to advanced and a mixture and private and groups, with a great selection of horses and ponies
You need to be knowledgeable, hard working, and caring to join our team. You'd get a good rate of pay and be part of a great team.

This is it, our last week of our Summer Holiday Programme

After spending most of the weeks in a heatwave, Last week brought us the much needed rain (although it would have been nicer if it could have just come overnight), but we hope those that took part in our week 7 activities still managed to enjoy themselves

Week 8 sees our tricks ans treats session and our summer showdown games session.

We would like to say a HUGE congratulations to our 2025/26 learner who we have had confirmed this week that not only did they pass their Level 1 functional skills maths back in May, but they have also passed their Level 1 certificate in work-based horse care AND their Level 1 functional skills English 🥳

We could not be prouder of our learner

We also want to say a huge thank you to the team at KEITS Training Services , especially Claire and Claire who have supported us in getting our learner ready for all assessments!

As we draw a close to week 6, (Yes we are 6 weeks into our holiday programme 😳) We would like to say A HUGE well done to all those who took part in our experienced dressage course this week, as well as those who joined us for our Funday on Thursday too! It was lovely to see so many happy faces and for the weather to be slightly cooler for us all too

Never fear though, there are still 2 weeks of our summer holiday programme to go - our final 2 weeks 😳

This coming week, on Wednesday we have the novice poles & jump course. Suitable for riders of all levels, and Thursday is our hacking day!

The following week we finish our week on Tuesday 1st September with a tricks and tricks morning, and our summer showdown games day on Wednesday 2nd September

As we draw a close on week 5 of our Summer Holiday programme we want to say a HUGE well done to our riders who took part in our beginner dressage course. To learn how to ride a dressage test in just 2 days, as well as turning your ponies out beautifully for the test was wonderful to see.
Also well done to the adults who joined us for the adults hack, which due to the extreme heat was turned into an early morning hack rather than afternoon

Week 6 sees our experienced dressage course, open to adults and children who can walk, trot and confidently canter, spaces are still available, and theres a mini competition on day 2 - we cant wait to see everyone for this
And Thursday sees our original funday back, open to riders of all levels its guaranteed to be a fun and informative day for all those who take part

As we come to the end of our amazing week 4 Pony Club camp week we still have 4 more weeks to go

This coming week, week 5, Tuesday and Wednesday is our beginner dressage 2 day course which includes a mini competition - great for anyone who is lead rein, walk and trot or just learned to canter
AND
Thursday is our adult hack afternoon

The following week, Week 6 is our experienced dressage course - aimed at those who can confidently walk, trot and canter, includes a mini competition

Thursday is our Funday - suitable for any level rider
