We’ve teamed up with Acorns Children's Hospice to help raise vital funds and awareness of their vital care and support for children with life limiting conditions.

Children like Hugh. Hugh has a rare genetic condition called Fox G1 syndrome, which prevents the brain from developing properly.

Hugh’s Mum Emma said: “Acorns has given us somebody to talk to, somebody that I can share my worst fears with. They help us cope with the scary reality of what we were living with. Acorns protects us. They hold us together.”

Use your Run Solihull place to help our charity partner Acorns Children's Hospice be stronger together for more children like Hugh 🌟

Hugh is one of only 50 children in the UK to have been diagnosed with a condition called Fox G1 syndrome. This rare genetic disorder prevents the brain from developing properly causing profound, lifelong disabilities and epilepsy. Hugh and his have been supported by Acorns for over 10 years.

Hugh’s Mum Emma said: “When Hugh was diagnosed, we didn’t know what his future looked like. We had so many unanswered questions. Coming to Acorns meant I could meet other parents in the same situation. They had the same kind of worries and understood what I was going through.

“Acorns has given us somebody to talk to, somebody that I can share my worst fears with. It helped us cope with the scary reality of what we were living with. They have given us an opportunity to spend time together as a family. Acorns protects us, like a little bubble. They hold us together.” 👪🧡

Oh we do love a medal Monday and this week we are throwing it back to 2021 🔙🥇
