Katsujinken Dojo

Congratulations to Richard Pitt and the new MRS.PITT. May all your troubles be.........(ok even I'm not going to say it !)

However, when we arrived at the dojo last night (Wednesday 19th) we found the party lights were up and for us the dojo was unusual. The hall manager immediately agreed to our moving them for the night.
Next week however he believes the Christmas tree is going up and more lights. He has promised to keep us informed so if you watch here if we have any cancellations we will let you know !

Good afternoon all. It's monday 23rd June 2025.In three days it will be Katsujinken Dojo 19 th anniversary. I am guessing it will be better to leave " The Katsujinken Annual Cake Baking Competition" until the first week of July. Please notify me of your interest in participating.

Congratulations to Katsujinken members who were successful at this afternoon's grading in Birmingham.

It was the culmination of up to two years hard work, so let's have a few weeks rest before we start looking our next grading!
For those not who were not successful this time we can look at our next options ?

I have just been advised that the mother of Gioia Barnbrook has passed away. I have sent a note of the Dojo's condolences to the family. For more details contact me. Gioia was our dojo sister for several years and many of us got to know Mr & Mrs Barnbrook over the years as the collected their daughter at the end of classes!

Good afternoon to all Katsujinken members and friends. At 12:00 there was no indication of any weather or travel/road problems in Solihull so tonight's First Class of 2025 is a go!

Andy, we spoke about a post Christmas meal. I remember the date we discussed - did we book it ?

Just an after though! If any body wants to wear montsuki or other traditional garments tonight, please do so !
