Solidarity and support donation programme for Ukrainian Squash

The European Squash Federation stands in complete solidarity with the people of Ukraine and we support our ESF Member Nation, the Ukrainian Squash Federation and their individual athletes.

Solidarity and support donation programme for Ukrainian Squash

Despite the enormous setbacks, Ukrainian junior and senior squash players are still trying to pick up their lives and represent their country in sport events.
The European Squash Federation stands in complete solidarity with the people of Ukraine and we support our ESF Member Nation, the Ukrainian Squash Federation and their individual athletes, as best as we are able to.

From across Europe we receive messages in which people show their support for the squash athletes in Ukraine. Many wish to help or start a campaign in support.
Therefore the ESF Management Board decided to coordinate a financial support donation programme for the Ukrainian Squash Federation.

Show your solidarity and support Ukrainian Squash by making a donation via the ESF Paypal service.

Scottish Junior Open cancelled due to COVID-19

Scottish Squash have today confirmed that the Scottish Junior Open 2020, scheduled to take place in Edinburgh from 28-30 December, has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This competition plays a key part in our junior calendar and we’re grateful to all those who have been part of our journey to develop this competition over the last 4 years, however the ongoing pandemic and the restrictions that are currently in place make this extremely challenging to deliver. This has not been an easy decision to reach but the safety of all the players, staff, officials and spectators is most important to us.
We would like to thank JC Lindsay who have continued to support this event for the past 4 years, allowing us to grow the profile and welcome new and more competitors year on year. We also extend our thanks to Edinburgh Sports Club & Oriam for been such fantastic venues to stage this event.

We look forward to hosting the event in the 2021/22 squash season and welcoming many of you back to Scotland.

British Junior Open cancelled due to COVID-19

England Squash has announced the British Junior Open 2021, scheduled to take place in Birmingham from 2-6 January, has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The prestigious major event attracts more than 600 of the world’s finest junior athletes from 55 different nations as far as New Zealand and Japan.

“It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of next year’s British Junior Open,” said Keir Worth, CEO at England Squash.

“The ongoing pandemic and the restrictions on international travel pose a major risk, and the health and safety of athletes, spectators and all those involved is paramount in these unprecedented times.

“This decision was not made lightly and the organising committee has explored all viable options to safely host this historic tournament but the unpredictability of COVID-19 makes it logistically untenable.

“We look forward to hosting the event in 2022 when the Commonwealth Games comes to Birmingham and to provide a spectacular showcase for squash.”
