We need your help 💙🐎
Urban Eyes is live on Kickstarter — but for this project to move forward, we need more people to see it.
If you believe riders deserve to feel safer on the road, you can help even if you’re not able to pledge.

Let’s help every rider get home safely.*
The Urban Eyes
The Urban Eyes personal safety vest is light weight, reflective and consists of two cameras, one on the front and one on the back.
Your safety is paramount, and while wearing the Urban eyes vest does not make you invincible, what it does do is act as a visible deterrent. It can been seen from a distance letting people know that you are recording the route in front of you and behind you, leaving you to focus on your run, whilst urban eyes watches your back.

A serious incident in Wiltshire highlighting a county-wide issue⚠️
🐴 YOU ASKED ABOUT AIR VEST COMPATIBILITY… SO TODAY I TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM! 😂💥
One of the biggest questions we’ve had since launching The Urban Eyes has been:
“Will it work with an air vest?”
It was a fair question — and one I wanted to answer properly, not just assume.
So today we travelled to Hit-Air and put The Urban Eyes to the test.
And yes… I volunteered to be the crash-test dummy! 😂
💥 Air vest deployed
👀 The Urban Eyes worn over the top
✅ Full inflation achieved
✅ No restriction from The Urban Eyes
✅ Vest performed exactly as it should
A successful test.
For me, this is another important step forward. When our community raises genuine concerns or questions, I want to listen, investigate and, wherever possible, test them properly.
There are still more tests and development work ahead, but today we answered one of the biggest questions you’ve been asking.
And apparently inventing a safety vest now includes deliberately setting off an air vest while wearing it. 😂
I definitely took one for the team today!
Thank you to everyone who raised the question — you asked, we listened, we tested. 💛🐴
💛 YOU SPOKE. WE LISTENED. NOW WE’RE TAKING ACTION. 💛
Yesterday we asked this community a very honest question.
With so much interest in The Urban Eyes, what is stopping some of you from taking that next step and backing us?
The response was incredible. Hundreds of comments, messages, suggestions and some really honest feedback.
And we’ve listened to all of it.
So today isn’t about asking the same question again. It’s about doing something with the answers you gave us.
Over the coming days we’re going to work through the things you told us matter most:
🐴 Air vest compatibility — we’re working to get The Urban Eyes physically tested with an air vest.
💳 Spreading the cost — we’re looking at how we can make backing more manageable rather than having the cost come out in one payment.
💡 Lights — after so many requests, we’re exploring an optional light package.
📹 Recording & storage — we’ll explain exactly how it works and answer the questions you’ve raised.
🦺 The design & visibility — we’ll explain why The Urban Eyes was designed this way and, importantly, listen to what you’d like to see in the future.
📦 The wait for delivery — we’ll explain why crowdfunding works differently from buying a finished product off the shelf.
We can’t promise that we can change everything overnight.
But we can promise that we’re listening.
The Urban Eyes has never just been about creating another hi-vis vest. It’s about getting something onto riders’ backs that could make a genuine difference on our roads.
Yesterday you helped us understand what we need to do next.
Now it’s our turn to act. 💛
Please keep commenting, keep questioning us and keep sharing the journey.
And if you’ve been watching from the sidelines and believe in what we’re trying to achieve, we’d love you to come with us.

💚 Did you know you don’t necessarily have to pay for your Urban Eyes pledge all in one go?
Kickstarter’s Pledge Over Time option lets eligible backers split their pledge into 3 equal payments, rather than paying the full amount at once.
For UK pledges, the option is available on eligible pledges of £100 or more when Pledge Over Time is enabled on the campaign.
Your first payment is only taken if the campaign funds successfully, with the remaining two payments collected monthly afterwards.
So if you’ve been considering backing Urban Eyes but would prefer to spread the cost, look out for the “Pledge Over Time” option at checkout. 🐎

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT 💛🐴
Morning everyone,
I want to ask this community for some genuine help today.
The Urban Eyes has now had over 600,000 views on Facebook, almost 1,000 people signed up for Early Bird access, and this community has grown to more than 1,600 followers.
We have a working product that has been tested on real UK roads, and importantly, we have the backing of The British Horse Society, who have supported what we’re trying to achieve for rider safety.
Yet since launching on Kickstarter, we have fewer than 100 backers.
Something doesn’t quite add up.
Rather than simply keep asking you to pledge, I think it’s time we stopped and listened.
Do we continue pushing Kickstarter, or should we be looking at another way to get The Urban Eyes into production?
Is Kickstarter itself putting people off?
Would you feel more comfortable pre-ordering directly from The Urban Eyes?
Is it the £149 price?
Are you concerned about paying for something before it’s in full production?
Would you rather wait until you can simply buy one?
Or is there something we’re completely missing?
There are more than 1,600 of you in this community, from all different walks of life, with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience in your day-to-day jobs.
There could be business owners, people in manufacturing, retail, marketing, investment or finance amongst you — or simply riders who can tell us exactly what would make them comfortable buying The Urban Eyes.
We need your knowledge and experience now.
This isn’t about giving up. We’ve spent five years getting The Urban Eyes to this point. We’ve built the product, tested it, listened to riders, worked alongside organisations such as The British Horse Society and demonstrated what the cameras can actually capture.
Now we need to work out how we take that final step and get The Urban Eyes onto riders’ backs.
So please take a couple of minutes to tell us what you genuinely think — particularly if you were interested enough to follow or sign up but haven’t backed the Kickstarter.
And if you’ve already backed us, we’d really like to hear what gave you the confidence to do it.
Good, bad or something we haven’t thought of — we want to hear it.
What do you think we should do next? 👇
