Hi everyone 👋 Breaking News!! A New Warrior is Born!

Just a quick personal and club update from me Gareth Birkett Co Director and Welfare Officer.

I’m very proud to share that our family has welcomed the newest basketball player to the area — Morgan Arthur Edward Birkett, born on 10th December at 2:11pm 💙 ❤️ 🖤
Mum Kayleigh Hunt is doing really well, and as a family we’re settling in following a recent house move and adjusting to life with a newborn, especially with Christmas just around the corner.

Because of this, I’ve taken a small step back from some club administration and coaching duties for the time being. That said, everything across Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC and Outlet Basketball Club Development is running as normal, and all sessions will continue as scheduled.

I will return before the end of the year and Xmas break for those final sessions.

Coaching & sessions

Ash (men’s team / Gosport) will be supporting Warriors sessions at the weekend

Coaches are in place for Grassroots Basketball CIC League games this weekend and all national league will go ahead as planned.

If Ben isn’t covering a session, we’ll ensure another coach is there

Any session updates or changes will be shared in the relevant team group chats

For any support or questions, please contact your child’s coach first — they are your main point of contact, team managers and other team leads are also in the group chats.

If something needs to be raised with me directly, I will come back to you as soon as I can, but replies may take a little longer at the moment

I won’t be able to take on any new requests or additional commitments until after Christmas

Outlet Basketball Club at Deer Park Secondary School. After 2 years of working together, we’ve established a competitive team in the Grassroots Basketball CIC Development League. Growing basketball in South Hampshire, one school at a time.

We are still looking for U12s and U14s to come in and join the Boorley Green Bucks 💚
