A couple of months ago I tried to do a headstand but I just kept toppling over.

With pure determination and strengthening my core I managed to do it πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

It really is true if you don't succeed try try again and this is so true of all exercises/challenges πŸ˜€

Autumn walk along the river at Henley on Thames 😍 the colour of the leaves is amazing, beautiful blue sky and the sun is shining. Feeling good 🌞😊


As it was Mental Health Day this week I thought I would encourage people to get out and about and enjoy the lovely weather we have been experiencing 🚢🌞

This photo was taken at Bournemouth this week and what a lovely day we had walking in the sunshine with a lovely sea breeze it really can change your day and mindset.

Exercise doesn't have to be strenuous or working out for hours. All exercise is good for us and just walking, breathing in the fresh air can be therapeutic but don't forget to stop for coffee too 😊

Go for that walk you won't regret it! ❀️

Due to the extreme temperatures I have taken the decision to cancel the Circuit, Stretch & Relax Class tomorrow (19 July). Everyone's welfare is my priority!

It was warm in the hall last week and it will be much hotter this week therefore uncomfortable and unsafe.

If you have booked for the term I will carry over 1 credit to the following term.

Keep Hydrated! 😊

With the temperatures rising over the next few days here are some tips to keep cool and a simple skin test to check if you are mildly dehydrated πŸ€—

πŸ˜… The more we perspire means more fluid we are losing from our body (dehydrating) so a sign you need to drink more fluids.

πŸ’¦ Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water. Add lemon/lime to give the water more flavour.

πŸ‘š Wear loose fitting, breathable clothing i.e. cotton/linen

🚢 If exercising maybe choose a yoga/Pilates type class or a lighter workout.

🌞 Stay out of the sun between 11am - 3pm as this is when the UV rays are at its strongest.

Here is a simple skin test to check if you are dehydrated. Simple and quick!

❀️ Pinch the skin over back of your hand, the raised skin should quickly spring back into place if this doesn't happen it is a sign of mild dehydration!

Keep safe everyone and check in on elderly or vulnerable family and friends ❀️ xx


The Circuits, Stretch & Relax Class is still going ahead tonight πŸ‘ obviously because of the heat we need to make sure we wear loose fitting clothing, drink lots of fluids and we will have longer breaks in between circuit stations. You should take a break at anytime if the heat gets too much. Let's exercise safely together πŸ€—

All timed for 50 seconds

All of the ladies have achieved AMAZ-ing results 😍 even though the class is of mixed age and ability. It is all about the ladies achieving THEIR goals and improving THEIR individual fitness level.

πŸ’ͺ Tomorrow will be the last class of this term and so the fitness test will be redone πŸ’ͺ the results from the fitness test will be shared on here later in the week so keep your eyes peeled πŸ‘€....

Once again the ladies have given 100% and I continue to see progressions in the form of harder versions of an exercise, using an increased weight in their strength exercises, improvement in their balance or improved cardio performance!

Any one/or all of these challenges are a "win" and will improve the ladies overall (individual) fitness goals πŸŽ‰ the small group caters for all levels so there is no pressure to be able to perform the exercises to the same ability but just to improve/progress each month 😊

The new term for the Circuits, Stretch & Relax Class will run from 26 June - 26 July at North Baddesley Village Hall at 7pm.
