WeightWatchers going bankrupt isn’t just a business story.

It’s the end of a model that told millions of women the same lie for decades. Track enough. Restrict enough. Show up to the Tuesday meeting. And if it doesn’t stick, that’s on you.

It was never on you.

By your 40s, your body has genuinely changed. Hormones, muscle mass, cortisol, time. The plan that worked at 28 was never going to work at 42. Not without addressing the one thing every diet club ignores, muscle 💪.

You can track points until you’re blue in the face. But if you’re not building muscle, your metabolism isn’t changing. So every year you get older, you have to eat less and less just to stay the same. Eventually you’re eating nothing and still not seeing results.

Isabella turns 10 this month.

I don’t really know when it happened.

But somewhere between the school runs and the weekends and just living our normal life, she started choosing fruit over crisps, asking to come out on walks, dragging the kettlebell out in her school uniform because she wanted to do “a workout.”

Nobody told her to.

She just watched. And started doing what she saw.

That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

I spent years thinking the best thing I could do for her was earn enough money, be there for her, show up. And all of that matters.

But the most powerful thing I’ve done for her is just lived it in front of her.

Your kids don’t listen to what you say. They copy what you do.
