Wow what an evening of emotions for the gym, all the hard work and preparation that all 3 lads put in over their fight camps, leaving no stone unturned in the gym, consistently training so hard in this heat with no air!
So for everyone that fought on the show last night combat fight series deserves a huge well done!

Massive shoutout to and for pulling it all together, and creating another awesome show, that is dedication!

After all the mishaps from the main fight of the night (70 pro fights) pulling out an hour before weigh in face off, after Jay had made weight, and all because he couldn’t make weight!!! The team still accepted his higher weight but he pulled out anyway!! And then suddenly announced his retirement.
And a huge thank you to the young man who jumped in at the last minute Robert Ruggiero. And well done - a 3 round war!!!

*LOOKBORAI*-the story
Lookborai Gym first begun in Southampton in 1999. The name of the gym was taken from Muay Thai Gym in the north of Thailand where Sanga Sak used to fight from. It was first Muay Thai gym opened in Southampton by Master Sanga Sak Ngeon and his wife Jane Ngeon.
Master Sanga was the top LUMPINI champion with over 250 fights in his career obtaining various titles and achievements.
While Master Sanga was running the gym he coached many fighters such as Dean Kendall, Gareth Blair, Daniel Bourne, Ed Windsor and others who become professional fighters for the gym.
Master Sanga taught Daniel Bourne to become coach for the Lookborai.
In 2024 Master Sanga left UK. He handed of the running the gym to Dean Kendall, Gareth Blair and Daniel Bourne. They continue teach what had been taught. During those years gym has created top UK and world fighters.
Today Dean, Dan and Gareth still working together within the sport training many professional fighters. The coaches still enjoy the sport themselves, and the gym continues to be the best Thai Boxing/K1 Gym in the Southampton, maintaining its success and enjoyment for all.

PS. In 27 years of the Lookborai, gym has trained best fighters in the UK and world in junior and adult division. To name a few: Matt Harris, Rich Harding, John O'Shee, Kelvin Kendall, Kev Clarke, Janis Meiksans, Mo Abdurahman, Jordan Swinton, Annie Rosam, Joe Ludolf, Lauren Sillence, Liam Hughes, Jay Fleming.
