Hedge End Learn To Swim Club

Hi all, so sorry to advise that there will be no swimming on Sunday as they have problems with the boiler and the part that is needed won’t arrive until after the weekend. We will of course add one week onto the end of the course but again apologies that the kids will miss out on swimming this weekend.

Hi everyone, hope your swimmers are looking forward to getting back in the pool this Sunday (5th). We just wanted to share this important message from Swim England. It's important and we want to assure you that these are the elements we will be working to as part of our lessons.

Millions failing to meet swimming standards as they stop lessons too early More than 3.4 million seven to 11-year-olds are failing to meet minimum standards that have been brought in for swimming lessons outside of school.

Hi everyone. We do hope you are all safe and well and are delighted to confirm that subject to Boris’s timeline remaining unchanged we will be back in the water at Red Lodge on Sunday 18th April and look forward to getting back together. We will confirm which session over the next few weeks. As those that have been with us for a while will know we normally stop for the summer holidays but given the time away from swimming we have now secured Sunday mornings throughout the summer and the Sundays of the May bank holiday weekends.
We hope that from 21st June we can return to hour sessions and teachers can be back in the water with the classes but this of course is subject to change.
We hope the return to school went well today and we’ll be in touch.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
Following the announcements yesterday all being well pools are set to re-open from 12th April. We will keep you posted as and when we hear from Red Lodge and look forward to welcoming back your swimmers.

Hi all and hope you are all well. Delighted to confirm we are able to return to the pool this Sunday (6th) no changes to the guidance. For those that have already paid thank you so much and we will carry over the lessons so this current course will now finish at the end of January.
For those that haven’t please secure your place by paying the £60.
We do have a waiting list so please let us know.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all back on Sunday.

Hi all, this Sunday is our 5th lesson of the course and we are conscious as parents you are not seeing the progress your swimmer is making and kids are often not forthcoming on the new things they have learned 😆😆 over the next few weeks they will be working towards their next duckling or water skills badges. If you could let us know which awards including distance badges they have achieved so far either by message/text or a note on Sunday that would be fabulous.

Hi everyone, once again thank you for bearing with us last week with the last minute changes. I have checked with Red Lodge and with the National changes any adults will need to wear a face covering in the reception area. As a result the teachers will wear masks when welcoming the swimmers and bringing them back out. It isn’t however necessary for us to teach with masks. Whilst of course with the new procedures parents don’t come into the building could we ask that you bring one along in the event that you do need to come in. Many thanks and looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Hope your swimmer enjoyed the session today. Apologies for the short notice change in process. We were only made aware when we arrived at 8.45.
The kids were great and very “grown up” getting themselves changed. We are looking to set up a WhatsApp group to keep you updated in the future (not all parents use Facebook) if you could message us to let us know that you are happy for us to include the phone numbers we have on record into the group that would be great.

Well done to all of our swimmers who returned to the water today. Whilst it was of course a bit different in many ways it was also as if we’d not been away. They did so well. See you next week

Hi all, delighted to have heard from so many of our swimmer and of course non swimmer parents. Our reduced ratio 30 mins sessions are filling up really quickly, please do let us know if you would like to take up a space from the 6th Sept. We will then be in a position to confirm timings to you all.

Hi all, hope you are having a great weekend. We are delighted to advise that we will resume swimming lessons from Sunday 6th September. Things will of course be different and we are still awaiting some details from Red Lodge Pool. In the meantime it would be good to understand how many swimmers will be rejoining us. The lessons will be the same price albeit reduced to 30 mins to adhere to recommended distances. Ratios however will be very low. Our aim is for the children whilst not having the normal "playtime" to have fun and resume learning.
Please could you email or PM us to advise whether your swimmers will be returning in September, also confirming which session they were in.
We very much look forward to hearing from you all and everyone returning to the water.
