RANDORI SESSIONS WITH PETER POWELL SATURDAY 16TH MAY

Knightwood Leisure Centre, Skys Wood Road, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh SO53 4SJ. No change to the normal session times.

Juniors (8 to 11 years) 9.40am to 10.40am

Youths (12 to 15 years) 10.45am to 12pm

Seniors (16 +) 12pm to 1.30pm

Vipers (5 to 7 years) will run as usual from 8.30am to 9.30am, but with some competition practice thrown in.

Visitors welcome - No need to book

Don’t forget our women’s only course starts this Saturday. Please wear suitable gym style clothing without any zips. Bring a bottle of water, have long hair tied back and remove any jewellery/watches before the session.

Don't forget judo fans, this Thursday the time slot for the adult only session starts at 8pm instead of 8.30pm. Everything else the same so see all of you at 7pm

n an effort to increase the numbers of women on our youth and senior mats, at competitions and in judo in general we are running a womens only course at Knightwood. Please register your interest with Russ if youre looking to attend.

If you are thinking of or planning on entering the Hampshire Closed competition on the 2nd of April at Places, Eastleigh, please get your entries in now..the closing date may be a few weeks away but if more players don't enter there is a real risk the event will be cancelled.

It would be a great shame to lose this local competition this year. Gold medal winners will be crowned County Champion and be selected for the Hampshire Team to fight for their County later in the year at the Intercounties Competiton.

Ready to rumble!

FPJC is proud to announce that yesterday 3 of our senior players, Nick Michael, Adam Jones(18yo) and Alex Hanks(17yo) attended a Dan grading at A.W.E judo club. All 3 players were competing against other brown belts trying to attain their 1st dan and all 3 qualified for a line up to gain their Black belt. Nick and Adam both won their line ups to gain their 1st Dan and Alex won 20 points to add to 20 he already has! This is a massive achievement and well deserved, Both Adam and Alex have been attending the club since they were very young and Nick joined the senior class after his children started with FPJC. All the coaches and committee would like to express how proud we all are of these players and for what they have achieved and to all our players and parents for their continuing effort and support.

Congratulations to Guy and Adrijus for their participation in the British Cadet National Championships on Saturday. Guy was awarded a bronze and Adrijus achieved a 7th place finish in a very full group after having to move up a weight group.
