Another Dock Box delivered today, that is the 8th this year. This one has folding dinghy wheels on one end for easy movement. Just some extra laminate in the end where the wheels are fitted. Another box to deliver next week to a Ker 40 and then a blue box the week after.

Just finished making some transport aids for another Cape 31 coming to the UK from Ireland, we have manufactured a full set of shear guards so when the vessel is strapped down for transport the boat and paint is protected, these are not just old bits of carpet, they spread the load of the strap and are fully cushioned, the fwd unit even straddles the tube toe rail and is reinforced so that it’s protected. Also supplied was a set of mast supports, these work very well with the canting trailers as aft unit locks into place once canted, the fwd units can be placed so the mast is along centre line of vessel and covered by the extremities of the trailer.

As Antix ( Cape 31) spends a fair amount of time travelling and also I really don’t like the way some yards put a ratchet strap around the bulb of the boat to attach it to the cradle I have made up these shear guards for ratchet straps, one fwd each side and one aft each side. They spread the load and protect the paint work, they even have retaining posts so the ratchet straps say put while tensioning. Get in touch if you fancy a set…

had an unload last week, Antix returned from the States, it took a while. worldwide shipping is still in chaos after the pandemic and it took three weeks longer than scheduled. buy a quick refit and we will have her on the water by mid May.

First set of MkII reeleRS off to Hong Kong. All parts held in stock so if you are after any, please get in touch. Also my reeler is sold as a package, everything requires apart from the glue to fit to the boat is included in the package.

Over the winter I have been developing the MKII reeler, it's a modular construction and has a slightly higher carrying capacity. All parts are British Built. Prototype is built and first order is heading to Hong Kong in a week or so.

I have had a very busy day after flying to Florida yesterday, packing up Antix to return to Europe. When she gets back there is a little jobs list to complete before the season starts. From ready to launch this morning to ready to strap down and do the final detailing before road transport and a ship. The boat has to be loaded to certain way so equipment does not get damaged and we have some good rig supports to everything is nice and snug.
