SOLD!!!

I’ve decided to sell my Genesis Fugio, I have too many bikes! This usually retails for £1500, yours for £800!

It’s 1x11 Sram gears, aluminium frame with carbon fork, 650x47 tan tyres and wheels which have never been used as I had different wheels in there, it’s done maybe 300 miles, so it’s pretty mint. There is one scratch on the fork, which is pictured which happened as it was a show bike for Genesis. The splatter paint is super cool and turns heads!

Size medium.

so back to a resto project! this is a 1990 F.Moser Leader Ax road bike, the same model that Gianni Bugno won the Giro D'Italia on as well as the World champs that year, the same frame snapped in half during a horrendous crash by the absolutely nuts Djamolidine Abdoujaparov (AKA the Tashkent terror!) on the Champs Elysees when going for the sprint win at the Tour de France in Paris, i got this one as a frame only, had it fully restored, then went looking for Campagnolo parts to build it, it is not time/spec accurate, it should have 8 speed Shimano Dura-Ace to be a matching team spec bike but finding 1990 shimano Dura Ace would cost a fortune so i went looking for Campagnolo Record, i like the 9 speed stuff which is from about 1998 so that's what i went for, i think it turned out pretty damn nice! and my phone can't handle the flouro pink!

so here is another restoration i have completed, a 1991 Muddy Fox Alu Pro, this bike is from the the era of Muddy Fox when they were still at the top of their game, the frame was found on ebay for £40 with the original fork but in a sorry state, the frame was powdercoated in the original colour and appropriate stickers were found, aprrox £200, then a while was spent looking for the correct year model Shimano Deore DX 21speed gears and matching brakes, i found a doner bike for this that cost £165, tyres are modern reproductions from Panaracer, the classic Smoke and Dart combination, about £80, the rest was mostly modern nearest items, probably another £200 worth, this is almost catalogue spec and looks fantastic. is it worth it? questionable i suppose, but i had this model in 1991 and i think it's cool that i have one again.

ever thought of getting a bike restored to it's former glory? modifying it? repurposing it? i have, and i do it quite often, frame changes, repaints etc, here's an example of one i have just done recently, a mid 90's Orange P7 mountain bike frame. sent off to a frsme builder for a disc brake upgrade on the frame, followed by a repaint in original style paint, i worked out i could fit slightly bigger wheels in it, so instead of 26inch wheels it's 27.5 with narrow-ish tyres, then fitted a gravel handlebar set up with a 1x11 gearset. i love jobs like this, prices can massively vary depending on what you want and what you bring me but it';s always worth asking. see pics for inspiration!
