After a 3 hours drive I jumped straight in with a just over 4 hour Pre Grading for my 7th Degree. After having my back lock out on me last week and not being able to kick to even my knee most days, I was very happy that it loosen up for this. Lots of stretching, “active rest” and massage paid off. Now for the final step in November for Grading itself. Exciting and nervous all at the same time.
Thank you Master Peter Whitehead of AuthenticTKD for the opportunity to be Graded under a Chang Hon TKD group. I have always had the goal of having what I know/do be recognised by a TKD specific organisation, but most importantly be reminded once again that there is still much more to learn. A great day spent with likeminded people followed by a little longer than 3 hour drive back. Extra thank you to James Dennis for your support and chauffeuring 😁

Our annual under 18’s sparring event is just under 6 weeks away, and entries are stating to come in. This is a unique event that bring TKD and BJJ matches together in one event. The morning kicks off with TKD matches then we roll into the afternoon with BJJ matches. You can enter either or both style matches.

Another visit from Master Peter Whitehead from AuthenticTKD , but this time is was all about me and preparing for my next Grading. Chon Ji to Moon Moo plus Tong Il then Step Sparring and a short Q&A. A great way to spend 3 hours of my Sunday morning. Thank you again for coming down and thank you to James Godwin and James Dennis for supporting and preparing to join me as demonstration partners when I Grade.

Our last full morning classes before our summer schedule begins next week, so make sure you get your TKD fix today. Our final Gradings assessments will also take place in these classes too:

9:00am - Ages 8 and under
10:00am - Ages 8 to 12
11:30am - Ages 12+

Full Grading focus in tonight’s classes Sarisbury Green Community Centre. TKD White to Blue Belts will have an opportunity if ready in the junior and teen class. We then shift into BJJ starting with Junior Belts after a mini seminar. And finally Teens & Adult will see out the evening with a promotions followed by a Knee On Belly Seminar with Kevin Hall from Basingstoke Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Paraestra UK.

A very busy and exciting evening for all:

5:15pm - Juniors & Teens TKD
6:15pm - Junior & Teen BJJ
7:30pm - Teen & Adult BJJ

Classes at Bishop’s Waltham tonight will be reduced to 1 hour of TKD at 5:30pm and 1 hour of BJJ at 6:30pm. Both will be open mat.
