Coach Steve led a group of hardworking Hamwics during Wednesdayโ€™s training session on the Common ๐ŸŒณ. With the warmer weather โ˜€๏ธ, the group made the most of the available shade while still putting in a strong session ๐Ÿ’ช. Well done to everyone involved!

The scorching weather hasnโ€™t stopped Hamwics getting out thereโ€”both on home shores and abroad! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Our wonderful run leaders led four groups out on Monday ๐Ÿ‘โ€”a fantastic turnout!
A huge congratulations to Captain Laura Lea ๐ŸŽ‰ for picking up 1st place FV50 at last seasonโ€™s CC6 ๐Ÿ…a brilliant achievement!

Itโ€™s been another busy and brilliant week for the Hamwic Harriers, letโ€™s dive in! ๐Ÿ‘‡
Our Monday social runs were led once again by our fantastic run leaders ๐Ÿ‘, with one group even managing to mix in a bit of fun chatting about a local/national sporting topic ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธโšฝ along the way.

Wednesday saw Coach Si putting everyone through their paces on the Common ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช, battling through some wet conditions, great effort from all who turned out!
Saturday was a big day as we took over Southampton Parkrun ๐Ÿ, brilliantly led by our very own Run Director, Matt Goss ๐Ÿ™Œthank you to everyone who volunteered and made it such a success โค๏ธ.

Elsewhere, Phil took on Haverfordwest Parkrun ๐Ÿƒ, while Sam & Abi enjoyed the scenic Itchen Valley ๐ŸŒฟ. Huge congratulations to Frazer and Harry for completing the Itchen Test Way 50km ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ”ฅan incredible achievement!

Sunday brought the Netley 10km ๐Ÿ…, where a strong team of Hamwics represented the club with pride. Massive well done to Soul, Nesa, Kat, Harriet, Lou, Laura G, Sandrine, Sarah, James, Rachel, Kate, Karen, Laura L, Nicky, Matt, Josh, and Paul ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘โ€”great running from everyone!

Nicki took on the Barry Island 10km. Great running.

A slightly quieter week than last, but still another busy one for the Hamwic Harriers!

For those not heading to the RR10, training was led on the Common by coach Steve. The session included drills, laps and strides to keep everyone working hard.
There was a great turnout at the Itchen Valley RR10, with Daveโ€™s photos capturing some fantastic efforts from everyone โ€“ and even the occasional Hamwic train in action ๐Ÿš†.

A group of Hamwics rewarded their hard work with a wellโ€‘earned pizza night on Friday ๐Ÿ•.

On Saturday at Southampton Parkrun, Kathryn Bailey reached her 400th milestone โ€“ an absolutely massive achievement. Congratulations Kathryn!

Jo headed to Itchen Valley Parkrun.

On Sunday, Phil took on the Bideford 10km, while Laura G, Sarah, Karen, Rachel and Josh tackled the Alton 10โ€‘mile race. Course PBs all round for the Hamwic Alton crew โ€“ brilliant running and well done to everyone involved.

The Hamwic Harriers enjoyed a busy and brilliant May the 4th Bank Holiday weekend โ€“ and yes, the Force was definitely with us ๐Ÿ’ซโš”๏ธ

Meanwhile, an epic effort from Frazer saw him complete the 100 mile Centurion Thames Path Challenge ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ”ฅ an incredible achievement and the first of many runners supported by JC over the weekend ๐Ÿ‘
