Hamwic Harriers Shoutout โ 11/10/2026 ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธโค๏ธ
The evenings are getting darker, but Hamwics are as bright as ever! It's been another busy week, so let's dive right in. ๐
Monday ๐
Our social run leaders took groups on different routes around the city, making the most of the autumn evenings. A timely reminder that it's now the season for bright clothing and lights to help keep everyone safe and visible. ๐กโจ
Wednesday ๐ช
Coach Si led a training session on the Common as the sun was setting. Great effort from everyone who came along and put in the work! ๐ฅ
Saturday โ Parkrun Day ๐
Mike, Jo and Nicki headed to Itchen Valley Country Parkrun ๐ฒ
A group of Hamwics stayed local at Southampton Parkrun โค๏ธ
Sandrine completed an impressive first run of three across the weekend ๐
Tom Banks smashed out an amazing PB ๐โฑ๏ธ
Hamwics also fielded men's and women's teams in the HCCL, which counted as run number two of the weekend for Sandrine. Fantastic commitment! ๐ช
Sunday ๐
A busy day of racing and volunteering across the club:
A group of Hamwics paced and ran at the Hillier's 10km ๐ณ
Mike and his three dogs took on the Valhalla Canicross ๐๐
A team of Hamwics headed to the latest CC6 race ๐
There were some fantastic results at CC6:
๐ฅ 1st place for the Men's Team

4th place for the Women's Team
Both teams now sit 3rd overall in their respective league tables ๐
A special mention to Harry Dare, who finished an excellent 4th place overall ๐ฅ, and to Sandrine, who completed her third run of the weekend. Incredible effort!
Elsewhere, Connor put in a speedy performance over 5km in Glasgow ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ.
