It’s been another busy week for the Hamwic Harriers, so let’s find out what’s been happening! 👇

Monday 👟

Our amazing run leaders took different-paced groups on a variety of routes around Southampton, helping everyone get some miles in and start the week off right. ❤️

Wednesday 🌒💪

Under the eclipse, Coach Si led a group of Hamwics for a training session on the Common. Excellent work from everyone who came along and put in the effort! 👏🔥

Saturday – Parkrun Adventures 🏃🗺️

There was plenty of parkrun tourism this weekend:

Paul J took on the Chepstow Half Marathon with Wic 🏅
Rich D paid a flying visit to Luton Wardown Parkrun ✈️
Jimmy ran Queen Elizabeth Parkrun 🌳
Nicki headed to Rogiet Parkrun 👟
Frazer and Kathryn ran Coventry Parkrun 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
The Harts took on Perry Hall Parkrun 🌿
Lou ran at Eastleigh Parkrun
A strong team of Hamwics stayed closer to home at Southampton Parkrun ❤️
Sunday 🌟

Another busy day of racing for the Hamwics!

Paul J and Wic took on the Frome Half Marathon, with Paul earning a PB 🎉⏱️
Jem ran the RunThrough 5km at Frome achieving a PB and finishing as 2nd lady overall 🥈🔥
Kylie took on the RunThrough 10km on Southampton Common 👏
Diggle headed north to tackle the Scottish Half Marathon in Edinburgh 🏅🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A busy and hot first week of August for the Hamwic Harriers, so let's dive right in! 👇

Monday 👟

Our fantastic run leaders led four different-paced groups around Southampton, helping everyone get their miles in despite the warm weather. Great to see so many Hamwics out and about! ❤️

Wednesday 🏁

A team of Hamwics headed to Cadland Estate for the latest instalment of the RR10 Series.

There was some fantastic running from both the men's and women's teams, with the men currently tied for 3rd place 🥉 overall. Special congratulations to Si Bryant, who sits at the top of the V50 leaderboard 👏🔥.

A huge thank you to all the supporters, including Dave, whose excellent photos once again captured the action perfectly 📸❤️.

Saturday - Parkrun Day 🏃

There were plenty of Hamwics out enjoying parkrun this weekend!

A team headed to Southampton Parkrun, where Jo Hartley celebrated her 300th Parkrun milestone 🎉🏅. What an incredible achievement!

Meanwhile, Diggle took on the Denbies Half Marathon 🍇🏃‍♂️.

The first event in the Magic Mile Series took place, with some fantastic efforts from everyone who took part.

The positive volunteer vibes continued as Hamwics joined forces with Itchen Spitfires and Solent Running Sisters to put on the RR10 at Wide Lane.

A team of Hamwics were up bright and early to take on the Southampton Airport Runway Run ✈️🏃, helping to raise funds for the club's chosen charity 💙👏.
Not content with one race, Hugh, Jo and Lou completed an impressive double by also heading to the Tour of the Woods 🌲🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ alongside a team of Hamwics.
A huge congratulations to Laura, who finished:

Our wonderful run leaders led a range of different-paced groups around Southampton, finding plenty of opportunities for photo stops along the way 📸😁.
Wednesday 🏁
Three teams of Hamwics headed to the Mile of Miles event at Southampton Sports Centre 🏟️.
A huge well done to everyone who took part, with the Hamwic A Team finishing in 2nd place 🥈👏. Great effort all round! 💙
Friday 🌅🏃
Josh, Rachael, Sam and Laura took on the SOBO Five Mile Race.
🏆 Laura was the first V50 female and the Hamwic ladies' team finished 2nd 🥈. Fantastic running everyone!
Saturday 🌞🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
A crew of Hamwics tackled the challenging Serpent Trail Race 🐍🌲.
🔥 Phoebe took on the incredible 100km distance, finishing as the 4th female and 16th overall, an amazing achievement! 👏💪
Meanwhile, Tom, Beth Cooper, David Cooper and Catherine Cooper all conquered the 50km Ultra 🏅.
