Congratulations to our Play your Way to Wimbledon winners. The men needed a deciding championship tiebreak! Thanks to everyone for playing, great tennis and great weather.

Congratulations to BLTC ladies. A 0-4 win over Lee-On-Solent to win the ‘Solent Cup’ 🥳

Play your way to Wimbledon takes place tomorrow. If you're not playing, feel free to come and watch, should be some great doubles on show.

Reminder: Play Your Way to Wimbledon sign up sheets are in the clubhouse. The first stage of the tournament will be held on the 6th April at the club.

You may have noticed how our maintenance activities over 2024 have made good inroads on the vegetation that lives in the gap between our, and our neighbours fences. But it's not all gone yet and to get ahead of it before the 2025 growing season is upon us, we'll have another maintenance afternoon.

Saturday 22nd February, 2-4pm. There is some basic equipment at the club, but if any keen gardeners amongst you can bring some of their own, we'll be able to achieve more.

Voting now closes Monday 2nd December and winners will be presented with their Oscar prize at the AGM on 4th December, so be there! 👍🙂

Finals day well under way, just a few showers to dodge.

Tomorrow is Bassett LTC's Club Champioships Finals Day!

We hope as many of you as possible will be able to come along to the club and watch all the fantastic competition, celebrate with the winners and commiserate with the runners up.

Play will begin with the Men's Main and Plate Singles finals at 10:00am.

This will be followed by the Mixed Doubles and Mixed Handicapped Doubles. We'll end the day with the Ladies and Men's doubles. Start times will depend on previous matches being completed, with an expectation that rounds will typically be 1hr 30 mins - 2 hrs. If you are playing in an event later in the day please arrive early and keep in touch on the BLTC WhatsApp for some updates.

There will be centenary cake, organic and gluten-free. Refreshments will be available throughout the day from the bar and the BBQ will be in operation. The club will provide some basics for the BBQ, however we encourage people to bring something along if they have particular favourites!

The day will end with a prize giving, and we hope people can stay on for this.

Huge congratulations to Ladies A (div. 1), Mens C (div 4) and Mixed B (div. 2) teams who all ended top of their divisions in the last Winter League winning trophies for the club!!!!
