It’s not me that finds the solutions, your inner resources, resilience, new ways of doing things, of being, of behaving.

It’s YOU.

Use your 5 senses...
5 things you can see
4 things you can feel
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste

Simple, quick, easy.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀.

Instead of saying “my anxiety” try “the anxiety”, or “that anxiety”

It's a small change, but notice what happens and how it feels.

It might start to feel less like part of who you are…
and more like something passing through.

𝟔/𝟔 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠

When stressed or anxious we breathe too quickly and shallowly.

Try breathing in slowly and smoothly, through the nose, down into the belly, for a count of 6, then out again, slowly and smoothly, again for a count of 6.

Only breath through the nose! (if possible)

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: slow, deep breathing through the nose tells the nervous system that you’re safe.

Try this for one minute (or longer) and notice what changes.

I love this, so many people have panic attacks, but because everyone hides it, we think we are the only ones! Or that it’s a sign of weakness, something to be ashamed of. It’s not either of those things!!! It’s wonderful he just said it like it is.
