Abi's Success Storyโ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
After booking a holiday in the near future we had a tight timescale for Abi to feel her best before being in a bikini and evening dresses.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
With a fairly strict diet plan, which still allowed for a couple of social occasions and alcoholic drinks, and an intense workout regime Abi lost over 1stone in 12 weeks, and dropped around 2 dress sizes (brand dependent). But most importantly she felt incredible in how her body looked and performed as her strength and fitness improved so much in the 3 months we worked together.

STOP RELYING ON MOTIVATION!!โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Your habits will take you further than your motivation ever will. Relying on motivation is sporadic, unpredictable and inconsistent - probably the three worst things for making any kind of progress ๐Ÿ˜…โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹

Vanessa's Success Story!โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹Being a mum of two, and having a busy and stressful job Vanessa not only found it difficult to exercise, but she was conscious to start. Not knowing where to begin we began working together the end of January, and by the end of March she was adding in extra sessions, joining classes and loving every second of being active.

We first focused on the basics of exercise and nutrition and found some easy wins already in her daily routine and we took advantage of them. Losing 7kg / 15.5lbs in just 8 weeks, Vanessa grew in confidence inside and outside the gym and rediscovered her love of exercise and activity.


Four ways to think about things when they go wrong.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Write it off - you can't change it so holding on to it can't help you.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Focus on your response - life is 10% what happens and 90% of how you respond to it.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹

Progress takes time, and it is very rarely linear. โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
There will be ups and downs, peaks and troughs. โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
There will be times when it feels like you're fighting an uphill battle and other times it'll feel like you're running downhill.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
But if you stop when things get tough, you forfeit your current progress and force yourself to start all over again in the future. Instead use this tough time to learn and improve for the future.


Taz's Success Storyโ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Tax came to me as a self-confessed carb lover! She loved pasta and potatoes in any form and she always felt like this would be her downfall forever. Instead, we took time to understand nutrition and the food she was naturally eating and make some small adjustments.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Taz ate the same number of carb heavy meals whilst we worked together as she had previously, except this time we maybe reduced the portion size each time, or we adjusted the recipe ever so slightly to include more veg and less higher calorie ingredients. Simple swaps, easy wins.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Taz lost 14 lbs in 12 weeks. Not only did she lose a stone she was fitter in her cardio sessions, stronger in her weights sessions and most importantly, so much more confident stepping into the gym and choosing meals she enjoyed and that worked for her.


Think people are watching you in the gym? How would you know unless you're looking at them? And maybe they're thinking the exact same thing.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
How about everyone focuses on what they're doing so you can all feel more confident AND make more progress.

One workout doesn't make you fit, and one missed session doesn't mean you lose your fitness.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
One salad doesn't make you healthy, one burger doesn't make you unhealthy.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Look at the average of your actions to determine your future outcomes.


The difference between intensity and consistency.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
You will go further, and find things more enjoyable when you focus on making it sustainable and consistent.


Life isn't good or bad. It's just life.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Food isn't good or bad. It's just food.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
How you perceive is what matters.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
If you see things as being good or bad you will naturally have positive or negative feelings towards it.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
See them for what they are and have clearer view on how to handle them.

Ever bought something cheap to save some money, then had to go and buy the more expensive thing anyway because the cheap version didn't work? Same applies here.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Doing it properly will be hard, but doing it over and over (and over) will be harder so you may as well do it right the first time and from the start.

New Recipe: Avocado on Toast with Perfect Poached Eggs ๐Ÿฅ‘โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹
Probably my favourite breakfast. I find this breakfast filling, a little fancy and nutritious. Poached eggs can be tricky but these are perfect and leave you with a silky runny yolk. โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹

Sophie's Success Story!

Sophie came to me wanting to lose weight, improve her fitness and body confidence and she has done just that. We simply adjusted her activity levels, introduced a slight change to her workouts and kept her accountable to her targets and she saw reductions in her weight, measurements and clothes sizes whilst at the same time seeing increases in her strength, fitness levels and confidence.
