A great start to the week with a not so great end.
Well, in general terms, you could say that. But when you’re reflective and look at things on a deeper level rather than just at the surface, life really is what you choose to see it for.
Thursday, my body decided to completely collapse. I was in so much pain and, honestly, I’m not sure passing out helped my back much… but oh well.
But what an amazing life I have , To have parents who can look after me, a partner who cares so deeply for me, and friends who love me so much. How lucky am I to have people around me who want nothing from me other than for me to be happy and healthy?
I’m always grateful for my life, but in moments like this I really try and not feel sorry for myself. The situation is not ideal no but ultimately it cannot be changed , I can only change what I do moving forwards. It’s easy to fall into a negative mindset, especially when you’re scared and in pain.
But actually I’m reminded of just how loved I am. And I know I’ll come back again just like I always do 🤝

Sometimes having a great day is being pooed on by a goat on your back with your bestie🤣
Had a really great time at goat yoga with Victoria ~ Animal Loving Adventure Mum 👩🌾
Such a fun experience and a really lovely yoga teacher to take us through the class

Bodybuilding & Adenomyosis
I wanted to talk about this because it might offer some comfort to someone else going through the same, or something similar.
I’ve actually come across quite a few bodybuilders who are navigating adenomyosis & endometriosis too, and honestly, that’s been really comforting. Bodybuilding is still quite a niche sport as it is, let alone trying to pursue it while living with a chronic illness. It can feel incredibly lonely at times.
One of the biggest things that’s helped me over the last year and a half has been having a coach who is genuinely invested in helping me succeed. It’s one of the reasons I always say to be so careful who you choose as your coach.
Lewy has been nothing short of incredible since I started working with him. He’s supported me through every setback, taken the time to research, adapted my training and nutrition whenever needed, and never once made me feel like my condition was a burden. He’s always looked for ways to help me keep moving forward.
It hasn’t been easy. There have been so many moments where I’ve felt like a “difficult” client or like my body was letting me down. But I’ve learned that needing support doesn’t make you difficult, it makes you human.
Whether you compete or not, living with chronic pain can be incredibly isolating. But the more I’ve opened up about my experience and allowed myself to be vulnerable, the more support I’ve received. In turn, it’s allowed me to support others who are going through similar struggles.
I can’t do this alone, and I don’t have to. Neither do you.
A huge Thankyou to my Joe, who literally picks me up off the floor when I can’t stand and never stops trying to understand how he can help. To my friends, family and clients who show me so much patience and understanding when I can’t always show up as the version of myself I’d like to be. And to my coach, who has never stopped believing in me, even on the days I’ve struggled to believe in myself.
If you’re navigating bodybuilding with a chronic illness, or simply trying to keep showing up while your body makes things harder than they should be, I’m proud of you. Keep going. You’re not alone. 🤝
