👏🏻✨CHANGING LIVES THROUGH HORSES SUCCESS STORY! ✨👏🏻
Katelyn embarked on her journey with the CLTH program in Year 9. Initially, she joined a group from her school for one hour each week. With no prior experience with horses, Katelyn was completely new to riding. However, she quickly began to excel in the program, and by September of Year 10, she participated in a placement day with us twice a week.
Over her two years with us, Katelyn transformed from someone who had never sat on a horse to being able to canter! She acquired various skills related to horse care, even exploring activities like clipping, long reining, and lunging. Katelyn contributed to the daily operations of the yard and gained the confidence to interact with customers, assisting them in getting ready for their lessons and helping with other CLTH groups.
Additionally, Katelyn has achieved numerous Horse Explorer awards and completed all three personal development qualifications, with her Level 2 qualification being equivalent to a GCSE at grades 5-9! Her perseverance and dedication are evident, as she never avoided a task or shied away from challenging weather conditions. Katelyn has proven herself to be a polite, kind and hardworking young adult. We wish Katelyn the best as she transitions to college, and we look forward to continuing to see her as she begins volunteering with us.
Katelyn exemplifies the positive impact that the CLTH program can have on a young individual. 🐎💖
