Deadlift PB ⬆️⬆️
Training the other day and needed a big blow out, so after working on squats went to deadlift and worked up to some heavy x3 reps! Without realising I went to a PB. Thought I was pulling 150, ended up being 160 and then added 2.5s to make this top set 165kg.
Wasn’t pretty but got it up!! 💪🏻

Worked up to a top set and thought would test the waters!
Didn’t quite get all 3 reps but happy to be able to push out first 2!

Last shift finished at pure gym 😢
Been so good training, working and hanging out with the guys and gals at this gym!! They are a dream team of great peeps and will be missed!! Is such a shame moving on but for now my Personal training career on hold! To start my ski instructing out in Canada!!

Last time at this gym! Got my first PT job, first clients! Got though 2 lockdowns and just under a year later moving on!
Iv learnt so much from all the guys and gals that work here past and present!

YES!! For me I defiantly try to work with wins/ success can still be broken down and find weakness and areas for improvement. The same goes for losses/failures, you can still find good points and take the positive from things even if the end result isn’t as you wanted.
Aiming for 5x5 at 100kg. This was 5th set and just missed out on the last rep. I’m happy with the other sets, I stuck to a limited rest period and hot all my other reps! Still a PB moving that for the reps I did!
Next time will be hitting that doooooe!! 💪🏻

With the easing of COVID restrictions some kit has come back out onto the gym floor!!
Grab it! Move it! Push it! Pull it! …MAKE USE OF IT!

I’m not saying I’m perfect and I do forget a lot but over the years a have noticed a big difference to time with stretching and without!
Even if it just 5 mins before bed or after your gym session take the time to let your body recover! Your muscles will thank you later!!
