Last October my father in law sadly passed away after a long battle with dementia. Watching him deteriorate over the years, and the impact it had on my wife and the rest of the family was so sad.

So this May every step I take will be for Ian, and to try to help other families like ours. Also the 1 mile a day is way too easy, so I'm going to average 6 miles a day.

I've been seeing more & more reports that people working in the retail sector or office commuters are feeling unsafe and nervous about being attacked, & especially nervous about people carrying knives.

Don't forget that we offer our Wellness for Work Self-Defence Sessions!! These sessions are held at your workplace. They can be tailored to your needs and numbers, and can cover a range of situations, including releases grabs plus dealing with knives & groups.

I have been a little disappointed with some workplaces. They view booking these sessions might be seen by the general public or press that their staff or store/office is unsafe; hence the need to bring in a martial arts instructor. This optic is wrong!!
The general public and your staff will thank you for taking proper care of your employees!!

In most settings, staff are completely safe in the workplace, but these sessions empower staff when they are travelling or even popping out to lunch or offsite meetings. I have worked with various organisations and every time the staff feel empowered, invested in and most importantly they LOVE the physical movement involved in learning Self-Defence.

If you are a responsible employer, then please reach out to discuss booking 1 or more sessions with us. We cover all of Essex and some surrounding areas.

Today, I was honoured to witness my Sifu be awarded the title of Grand Master.
The words written by Sifu Steve below really do sum this incredible achievement up perfectly.

I feel so grateful to be taught by someone with such skill and understanding, and it is a huge honour to extend his legacy via my students.
