FINAL DAY COMEBACK! ππ€β½οΈ
On Sunday our U13 Black boys played in their final game of the season heading over to the Garons 3g Pitch to take on local neighbours Old Southendian U13 Red and what a game to end the season on!
This game had absolutely everything from great football, great mentality, great teamwork and a barrage of goals!!
In an end to end first half our boys just couldnβt seem to take the chances created and were hit with some great counter attacks but also hit the net in reply but found themselves 3-2 down by half time.
With a full squad at half time making a number of changes and then a procession of injuries at the beginning of the second half we were then down 4-2 early in the second half. Again more changes but the boys finally hit top gear and exploded into full throttle football and were unbelievable in their pressing and their use of the football. A real show of force see the boys score 4 goals without reply and take home a huge 6-4 win in a cracking game and a brilliant way to end the season!
A massive thank you to every single player and all the families that have been involved with our team this season your hard work, time and full commitment to the seasons efforts has been incredible and is always seen and appreciated by myself and Mark!
Well done boys on a great season!
We look forward to our Team Social then our End of Season Party before we break for the summer!

BACK IN THE GROOVE! ππ€β½οΈ
Yesterday our U11 Grey boys tripped over to Deanes School to take on Hadleigh Youth U11 Blue in a well needed friendly match and a brilliant show of teamwork and determination this was.
From start to finish and with a bare 9 the boys outfought, outplayed and just showed a level of hunger and quality that was unmatched!
A superb performance from the boys with a clean sheet and four goals for their efforts.
Just what the Doctor ordered for the boys today and can they can be very proud of the level of commitment and passion they showed to their football and the team!
Well done boys take this momentum into next weekends final friendly of the season!

VALIANT EFFORT! ππ€β½οΈ
Yesterday our U13 Black boys tripped over to the island to take on league champions in Canvey U13 Neons.
As has always been the case these games are always brilliant challenges and great games to be part of against Dave and his boys.
A first class first half from the boys fighting for everything remaining solid at the back and looking dangerous on the counter and this proved to be our weapon as we took a 2-0 lead with two great through balls allowing Ed to finish both with devastating effect!
They say you are most vulnerable straight after you have scored and canvey hit straight back with a fantastic finish to bring the game to 2-1 at half time.
We knew the battle was yet to come in the second half and we just couldnβt muster the same resilience and once the equaliser went in early in the second half there was only one team really piling the pressure on.
Congratulations to Canvey on the win and for a brilliant and successful league campaign being crowned champions!
Our boys showed a lot of heart and determination and will take this into the last game of the season next Sunday away at Old Southendian.
Letβs push right to the last boys!

GAME OF TWO HALVES! ππ€β½οΈ
On Sunday our U13 Black boys hosted local neighbours Trinity U13 Blue to Southcurch High School in their final home game of the season!
After a battling draw in the previous league encounter this game was going to also be quite a battle but Trinity really brought the game to us which we had no answers to in the first half with us down 3-0 at half time.
The boys really had to dig deep and show some character and fighting spirit in the second half and they done just that.
Keeping things tight at the back and maintaining a real threat in the attacking areas not conceding and bagging a goal for their efforts.
In what has been a long season and a huge effort the boys just arenβt quite hitting the heights in the last month or two but we will continue to work and strive for more in our final two games taking on the top two away from home which I know the boys are relishing the challenge!

TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE! ππ€β½οΈ
On Sunday morning our U13 Black boys hosted Rochford U13 Red to Southchurch High School in the latest clash for the boys in their Division C campaign.
In another consecutive home game the boys started well and battled for every ball resulting in a number of chances but again couldnβt seem to take the initiative and get the first goal of the game and were undone on the counter by a clinical Rochford goal.
The goal didnβt stop the boys from continuing to do all the right things when it come to our play and continued to match Rochford in a well contested first half but couldnβt seem to draw level by half time.
The second half was a real contrast to the first with the boys looking disjointed and out of sorts and never really got back into the groove. It was a tough second half the boys never really managing to effect the match and credit to Rochford they stuck to the task and took full advantage scoring another two goals without reply.
Credit to the boys in what was an out of character second half they were rewarded with a goal a few minutes from time driving through the middle of the pitch and a nice composed finish.
A tricky second half of the season hasnβt allowed the boys to really build up any consistent form in recent months but we keep working and will fight for every point in our last 3 matches!
