THREE IN A ROW! 🌟🖤⚽️
This morning our U11 Gold boys took a very early trip over to Canvey Island to play the third game of their league season taking on Concord U11 Yellows over at Waterside Leisure Centre.
With a full squad the boys prepared well but started the game quite slowly and lacked any cutting edge or chemistry and went behind in the game midway through the first half but from that moment the boys sprung to life and went from strength to strength right up to the final whiste scoring a number of fantastic team goals with all the boys playing their part in the teams efforts!
Always a wonderful thing to witness watching the boys implement and execute information and plans that have been worked on in training the day before.
These boys are amazing learners and are getting the rewards from the work they are putting into the team so early on in their debut season.
We know it’s a long season and the boys will not settle and will continue to push each other as the season progresses!
Keep up the brilliant work boys!
We go again next weekend with our second home game of the season!

ROUGH TIMES IN RAYLEIGH! 🌟🖤⚽️
At lunchtime today our U14 Blacks tripped over to Rayleigh for their third fixture of their 26/27 league campaign and it certainly wasn’t one for us to want to remember!
A really scrappy and stop start game in the first half with neither team managing to find any sort of flow or consistent play and half way through the half the boys were undone twice in two minutes with two completely avoidable goals leaving us 2-0 down at half time but still a chance and from the game we had witnessed there was potentially something to gain in the second half.
We had some honest words and made some changes but to little effect with us conceding early in the second half and the game was gone for us.
We have to take our medicine early this season and keep building on and learning from our mistakes and finding solutions to become a resilient and tough opposition which will come!
A handful of really hard working and encouraging performances from players in this team will spur themselves on as well as their team mates as the season progresses and we will keep on pushing the boys!
Sunday off next week so a chance to refresh and go again for the following week!
Chins up boys we March on!

WELCOME HOME FOOTBALL! 🌟🖤⚽️
This morning our U11 Gold boys hosted Benfleet U11 Whites over to Southchurch High School for their first ever home league match as a team and the boys really put on a show and set themselves a high bar for the home games to come this season!
A cracking start to the match for the boys really driving an intensity and hunger to want to attack and build their way up the pitch to the opposition goal and were rewarded with a brilliant opening goal. The first half was much the same with the boys creating chance after chance but just couldn’t find the finishing touch.
They regrouped at half time, took some time to refocus and bang the second half they found the answers scoring some brilliant team goals and some first class individual goals to wrap up a brilliant debut match at home!!
Well done boys we are beyond proud of the development and the application you are putting into your training and your matchdays already keep it up!
We go again next weekend!

LIFT OFF FOR THE U11s! 🌟🖤⚽️
This morning our U11 Gold boys finally kicked off their season with an away day trip to Basildon to take on Sporting Basildon U11 in their season opener and what a start and a cracking game to be a part of!
The boys really settled in quickly and begun to show their abilities individually and their collective strengths as a team.
From first whistle to the last the boys enjoyed a fantastic game of football and worked hard throughout!
Some great passages of football that’s been worked on in training and a real understanding of what league football is and what’s required considering it’s their first season as a team!
Massive credit to all involved with this team from players to coaches to all the families that have shown great commitment for us to get to this point!
A wonderful start and we are hoping to really kick on and get stuck into their debut season!
Keep up the brilliant work boys and we go again next week!

A GAME OF TWO HALVES! 🌟🖤⚽️
Today our U14 Blacks hosted their first home game in their Division A campaign inviting Corringham Athletic U14 Blue over to Southchurch High School.
This game although not being the result we wanted to gain confidence the performance in the first half could be a lightning rod of encouragement the boys needed to show they are capable of great things at this level.
The boys started brilliantly really showing fight, desire and a good physical edge whilst communicating well and playing as a unit and really got into their stride playing some good football and winning their individual battles across the pitch and found themselves unlucky to go a goal down but this didn’t deter them and they fought back in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
Our second half was a different story and the level they set themselves in the first half couldn’t be matched and the boys suddenly weren’t doing what made them so tough and effective in the first half which ultimately undone our structure giving our defence a lot of work to get through.
We couldn’t hold onto the result but we are taking the positives and the fact we have stepped forward from the first game and we will continue to learn and trust the process! This season will be tough but the boys will keep at it and ultimately long term the boys will gain so much!
Keep working hard boys we will get there!

A TOUGH START TO DIV A! 🌟🖤⚽️
In the season opener for our U14 Blacks they tripped over to Eastwood Park to take on Corinthians U14 Whites in what was a real tough first game in which the boys really got a lesson in what is required to challenge this season at this level!
From the off our boys were slow out the traps and Corinthians really stamped their authority in the game which ultimately set the tone for an uphill battle till the final whistle.
Boys continued to fight and showed flashes of good positive football for small periods and we will take the positive parts of what we done well and take it into next weeks first home game of the season!
A new captain and vice captain for 26/27 season along with debuts for 4 new players which in turn allowed us to welcome 4 new families to the sidelines for the new season!
We willl grow the bond and mentality of the team week on week as the season progresses and you always learn more from losses than wins as they say!
Keep working hard boys we will get there!
Lets go
