Our popular summer Youth cricket training sessions have just started for the summer on Friday nights at Garon Park between 6pm-7.30pm, and we're still open to any other youngsters (from 8-15 years old) who would like to come and give it a try...

If you have a child who would like to give cricket a go, why not bring them along? The first session is free as a taster, then it's £5 a week pay as you go...... We have lots of kit they can borrow, and a friendly group of qualified coaches to! AND we're welcome to kids of all abilities from absolute beginners to those with much more experience!

And... for parents, our bar is open during the session, so enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine (hopefully!) while your kids practice!

For the first time this year we will be running a Girls only Dynamos Cricket course for 8-11yo, this will be on Thursday evenings at Garon Park between 6.15pm and 7.15pm for 8 weeks beginning on the 21st May. Please check out the details below

Clubspark / Dynamos / Coaching / Course Dynamos Cricket provides boys and girls from 8-11 years old with non-stop fun. Each week there will be a focus on a different cricket skill to build their confidence and ability, before they take part in a 60-ball countdown cricket match.

This summer will see the return of the excellent ECB All Stars Course (aimed at 5-8 year olds) at our superb facility at Garon Park.

Sessions will run from 6.15-7.00pm on a Friday night between 22nd May - 10th July.

Although we have plenty of interest, we do still have some spare places if you and your child would like to take part.

The cost is £50 for 8 weeks and the club usually continues to run sessions after the end of the official course for the remainder of the summer if your child wishes to continue afterwards. (at a minimal cost per session attended)

We're very grateful to the Finish Line Fund for their support. It's fantastic that with their support we are able to provide free playing shirts to all of our 70+ young cricketers!

Last Friday we were with Old Southendian & Southchurch Cricket Club at Garon’s Park, Southend to see the youth section receive their shirts for the new season.

Earlier in the year we provided a grant towards the cost.

We are delighted to work with the Club this year and help support youth cricket.

All Stars Programme at Old Southendian & Southchurch CC, Fri 24 May - Fri 12 Jul 2024.

Do you have an 8-15 year old interested in giving cricket a go? If you do, we'd love to see you at our youth training sessions that take place at Thorpe Hall School on Saturday afternoons...

We have two more sessions for u11 (up to and including year 6) before Christmas, these are on Saturday 2nd and Saturday 9th December from 2.45-3.40pm and to more sessions for u13 (up to and including year 8) from 3.45-4.40 on the same dates.

After Christmas we will be running sessions every Saturday from early January until late March for u11, u13 and u15 at the same location. The first session is free, then it is £5 a session thereafter, and there is no need for any special equipment, we can provide everything you need.

With a number of qualified and experienced coaches as well as enthusiastic volunteers, we are happy to work with any child from a total beginner to a county age group standard player.
