There it is. The final total for Play on the Pitch 2026.
Last week, we gathered at Little Havens to finally hand over this rather lovely, rather LARGE cheque, representing every donation, raffle ticket, auction bid and bit of support that went into this year's event.
And £37,223.79 is a number we're incredibly proud of, but what can that actually mean?
Based on Havens Hospices' current costs, that amount is the equivalent of more than five full days of hospice care, covering everything from nurses and carers to medical supplies, meals and the running of the hospice. Or, looked at another way, it could fund more than 1,160 hours of specialist nursing care.
That's why we do this.
What starts as a football match at Roots Hall becomes something that can make a very real difference to children, adults and families supported by Havens Hospices.
A massive thank you, once again, to every business, player, sponsor and supporter who helped us get here. Whether you played, donated, bid, bought a raffle ticket, volunteered, cheered from the stands or helped behind the scenes, this total belongs to all of you.
And after seeing that number on the cheque?
We're already thinking about Play on the Pitch 2027. ⚽️
