S.A.F.E. 2025 - Southend cricket community Annual Family Event
The Southend Cricket Community [SECC] & Southend Sports Community [SCC] successfully concluded its Annual Family Event 2025 (S.A.F.E. 2025)—a vibrant, multi-week celebration of sport, wellness, and community unity held from October to November.
True to our mission of fostering holistic well-being and mental health through inclusive sport, this year’s event featured a wide variety of activities including Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Throwball, Carrom, Chess, and various other games.
We were deeply honoured by the presence and encouragement of special guests Councillor Pamela Cllr Pam Kinsella and Councillor Anne Cllr Anne Jones, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Planning and Housing, whose support highlights the event’s importance to our local community.
S.A.F.E. 2025 brought together over 150 participants from across Southend, representing all ages, genders, and diverse nationalities. The spirit of friendly competition shone brightly, resulting in 61 Champions and 61 Runners-Up across the various activities.
More than just games, S.A.F.E. embodies our vision to promote community engagement, healthy recreation, and lasting camaraderie—making Southend a stronger, healthier, and more connected place for everyone.
