Over the bank holiday weekend swimmers from all the world descended on the LAC for the AP Race London International Meet. Canada, Denmark, Sweden, USA, South Africa, Austria, New Zealand were represented and swimmers Chad LeClos, Anna Hopkin, Tom Dean, Sydney Pickrem and Matt Richards all competed in their respective disciplines, preparing for this years World Championships.
Among these legends of swimming were three of our very own BOSS swimmers who managed to successfully secure qualification times to represent BOSS and Great Britain at this event.
Competing in 3 events over the three days, the boys achieved some great PBs, heaps of fantastic experiences and on the final day reached the 50m butterfly Junior finals!
A big well done to everyone involved!!

Tonight BOSS joined schools and youth organisations in celebrating the outstanding achievements of young people in Southend at the Jack Petchy Awards evening! What a privilege it was to see our three swimmers, plus so many other young people being celebrated!

Double celebration today. We got to see our lovely Pam; our superstar coach who sadly moved onto pastures new (green lovely pastures... not that we’re jealous 😉) and Happy birthday to our wonderful Vanessa. Still up at the crack of dawn on her special day to put our swimmers through their paces xx
