The Ice cues

It's been a long time since the last post on here but tonight we drew 3-3 against a fu**ed up beyond all recognition side

So everyone... Last week we drew 3-3 against pocket rockets and this weeks game against Benfleet Flyers ended in a rather frustrating fashion with our second 3-3 draw!

This week saw Damian pot two brilliant shots to win 2-0, Andrew won 2-0 after a frustrating first frame for long periods but the star man for tonight was Steve who won 2-0 with some great potting and some good tactics saw him win the second with an amazing black!

Not forgetting the three others... Dennis lost 0-2 but got into form just a little too late to pull the match back, Shane lost 1-2 but definitely the best he's played for a while considering he played the black ball with a rest into a blind pocket but white ball went down the end and in off and last but not least Tab lost 1-2 just unlucky from 0-1 he couldn't pull of the comeback!

Very pleased with the team we have and got strength in depth which is vital for this division so really glad we are unbeaten so far and next weeks game at home will be a big match but one we are motivated to get our first win... On the form so far this season it should be just around the corner!!

All ice cueists need to be at Riley's in southend tonight before 7:30 for a friendly match!!

Rules for next year are as follows:

1. If you agree to play for the team at the start of the season, I then don't expect you to leg it before Christmas. If you agree to play and if the captain wants you to play a certain week then you will play unless you have exceptional circumstances as to why you can't... e.g. getting bored and losing 3 games before hand isn't a valid reason to quit the team.

2. Any player we sign, no matter how many games they play or if they don't play any at all, I expect to be paid the registration fee for that player.

They're the new rules for next year and more will be added nearer to September!

What a great victory it was for us, our seventh win this campaign and our third in a row!

To think this team finished fourth bottom in division 3 last season and yet we'll most likely be fourth in division 2 after we get the update results!

Before the season started our focus was just on staying up and to be honest I think we've got more of a chance of getting promoted!

Christmas break update:

I'd like to wish my team members a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I'd also like to say thank you for every body who has played a part in the team being where it is just under half way through the season. I feel like we have made the biggest achievement out of any of the league.

Last season we finished 4th bottom of the bottom division and now in our debut season in division 2, we are 4th from the top.

Our influx of new players has helped us to achieve this position and we are hopeful that the new year will bring more new players to the team and they will integrate within the current team and help us stay in that division.

Thanks for all your practise and have a good two and a half weeks off everyone!
