SRFC Social Touch Rugby is back!

Join us this Wednesday for social, mixed touch rugby at Southport RFC.

Whether you have played rugby before or are completely new to the game, everyone is welcome. Touch rugby is a fun, non-contact way to keep active, improve fitness and meet new people over the summer.

Sessions are free of charge and open to men and women aged 14+.

There is no need to bring a team; simply turn up and get involved. Mixed teams and games will be organised on the night.

Open to all. Free to play. Just turn up and join in.

👏 Congratulations to Lewis Fusco, who was awarded the First XV Rodger Stichbury Players’ Player of the Year at our annual awards ceremony.

A fantastic accolade, voted for by his teammates, and thoroughly deserved after a truly outstanding season for both the First XV and Lewis personally. His consistent performances throughout the year were exceptional and also led to well-earned Lancashire U20 honours.

Well done, Lewis! 👏🏉

⚡Nathaniel Barkowski Martin

Southport RFC are delighted to announce that Nathaniel Barkowski Martin will be part of the club’s senior playing squad for the 2026/27 season.

Nathaniel is truly one of our own, having progressed through the Southport RFC youth section before enjoying an outstanding campaign last season with Scarisbrick Hall School and our successful Southport Colts side.

Nathaniel’s achievements last season included:

• Colts League title winner
• Lancashire Schools Cup finalist
• U18 Colts Semi-finalist
• Lancashire U18s representative
• First XV debut at just 17 years old

Nathaniel marked his First XV debut in style, scoring a stunning 60-metre try and showing exactly why he is regarded as one of the most exciting young players coming through the club.

Blessed with an impressive skillset, Nathaniel combines natural ability with an exceptional work rate, strong communication skills and a real dedication to improving every aspect of his game. These qualities make him a fantastic asset to the squad and an exciting prospect for the future.

Nathaniel’s journey is a brilliant example of the strength of our youth section and the pathway available to young players at Southport RFC. He joins a growing group of talented youngsters making their mark in senior rugby and continues to be an excellent role model for the next generation.

💪 Ewan Thompson

Southport RFC are delighted to welcome Ewan Thompson back to the club as our Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2026/27 pre-season.

A former Southport First Team Captain, Ewan brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field, having also played for Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

Ewan’s qualifications include:
• BSc Sports Exercise Science
• WRU Performance Analyst
• Level 3 Personal Trainer

Ewan will be working alongside Head Coach Darren Hall to help get the squad firing on all cylinders ahead of the new season.
