Founded in 1899, we are one of the oldest crown green bowling clubs in Southport. Located in Victoria Park the home of Southport Flower Show.
We have two good sized bowling greens, with at least one green available (weather permitting) throughout the year. The greens are well maintained by specialist greens treatment and mowing contractors. With some mixed 150 members, the club has an active social programme. There is a good sized pavilion with tea-making and toilet facilities plus a convenient car park for members use. The club enters
two ladies and seven men’s teams in local leagues, plus a mixed Indoor team during the winter months. We also organise several club trophy and social bowling competitions during the season open to all members. We have a reputation for being a very friendly and welcoming club; with social membership available for those seeking friendship rather than competition. Registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club, our main purpose is to provide facilities for, and promote participation in, crown green bowling for the whole community irrespective of age, gender, religion, race or ability. For the new bowler or those a little out of practice we host a number of social bowling sessions which are held regularly throughout the year. The club also organises the hotly contested crown green bowls competition which is a feature of the Southport Flower Show
