The new season is underway, and we’re excited to share the first half of our fixtures ahead for our Minis, Youth & Colts teams!

From Sunday mornings on The Common to festivals, fixtures and trips across the region, there’s plenty of rugby to look forward to as our young Black & Gold players get back into the season.

And if your child fancies getting involved, Southwold RFC is open to everyone! Whether they’ve played for years or have never picked up a rugby ball before. All Minis, Youth & Colts players can enjoy 3 FREE taster sessions* to meet the coaches, make new friends and see what being part of Southwold is all about.

Our U6s welcome boys and girls in Reception and Year 1. At this age, it’s all about having fun, learning the basics and enjoying Sunday morning training on The Common, so our U6s train only and don’t play fixtures against other clubs.

With age groups running right through Minis, Youth and into Colts, there’s a place for you in the Black & Gold. 🖤💛

Bonus pre-season rugby! 🖤💛

With a few weeks still to go until the competitive season gets underway, our Senior Men have squeezed in another opportunity to get some valuable match minutes under their belts, and this time, we’re making the most of it with two games in one afternoon!

We head to Wymondham RFC to take on Wymondham 2XV and Norwich, with a mixed senior squad getting another good test as preparations continue.

Game One kicks off at 2pm, with two matches and plenty of Black & Gold rugby to look forward to. 🏉 See you at Wymondham!

September is here… and rugby is getting closer! 🏉🖤💛

We’re pleased to share the confirmed and rearranged fixtures for our Senior teams for 2026/27. Our Men’s 1XV, Men’s 2XV and Women now know what the season ahead looks like, with plenty of rugby to look forward to both home and away.

📅 All senior fixtures are now available on the RFC website, with our own website fixtures being updated and a downloadable Senior Fixtures PDF being added to the Southwold website soon.

Our Minis, Youth & Colts fixture update will follow over the next few days.

It’s been a slightly longer wait than we’d planned, but the teams are training, the fixtures are in, and the countdown to competitive rugby is officially on. See you back on the touchline very soon. 🖤💛🏉

Huge shoutout to those taking part in The Alzheimer's Rugby Club Cycle Tour.

Organised by Jason Wyatt, the tour honours the memories his parents have lost due to Alzheimer's. Jason is joined by a group of family and friends who are taking on a 230 mile cycling challenge around rugby clubs in Norfolk & Suffolk. They are stopping at clubs all over East Anglia and are staying at local clubs including Southwold. They have already raised over 10K, smashing the inital £7500 target.

The tour team will be stopping off for a night on the Common and staying at Southwold RFC on Saturday night.

Rugby is back! 🖤💛

This Sunday marks the start of the 2026/27 season for our Minis, Youth & Colts as we return to The Common for registration and training*.

After a summer away, we can’t wait to see familiar faces back with a rugby ball in hand and hopefully plenty of new ones too!

Whether you’re new to the area, looking to get back into rugby or fancy trying something completely new, come and see what Southwold RFC is all about. We offer three FREE taster sessions across all Minis & Youth age groups, giving everyone the chance to meet the coaches, join in with the team and give rugby a go.

Our U12s squeezed in one last summer get-together with an evening of beach rugby before heading straight into the sea for a swim! 🏉🌊😂 What better way to round off the summer and get everyone excited for the new season? 🖤💛

We’re back on The Common from Sunday 6th September at 10am, with registration and training taking place across September.

From U6–U12 Minis through to our Youth & Colts, there’s a place at Southwold RFC for children aged 5+ to get involved.

Never played before? No problem! Every child can enjoy three FREE sessions* to come along, meet the coaches, make some new friends and see if rugby is for them. Whether they’re already rugby-mad or have never picked up a ball, everyone is welcome. 🏉🙌

Our Senior Men are back in action tomorrow as we take on Sudbury 2XV for our next pre-season fixture.

We’re on the road again, heading to Colchester RFC to make use of their 3G pitches while conditions at home remain a little too firm for rugby.
