History made at the Home of Golf. ⛳️

A very special morning in St Andrews as Claire Dowling became the first woman to serve as Captain of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews in its 272-year history.

At 8am, the traditional cannon fired before Claire struck her ceremonial drive down the famous first fairway of the Old Course — followed by the brilliant sight of the caddies racing to retrieve the ball, with a gold sovereign awaiting the first to reach it.

A wonderful tradition, a landmark moment and another piece of golfing history made right here in St Andrews.

What a morning to be at the Home of Golf.

A true highlight was welcoming the world’s leading short game coach, whose coaching inspired both parents and children throughout the week. The excitement continued with an incredible long drive exhibition from European Long Drive Champion leaving the kids wide-eyed and inspired.

Watching families learn together, compete together, and experience some of Scotland’s finest golf courses is exactly what these camps are all about.
