π Meet The Herrings
The lady's rugby section linked to St Ives RFC, proudly known as the Hakes. We're a team of strong, supportive, and determined women who love the game, the camaraderie, and the chance to represent our club on and off the pitch.
Whether we're training, competing, or cheering each other on, we do it together as The Herrings, part of the Hakes family.

"I absolutely LOVE Wednesday nights! There's such a brilliant atmosphere at every session β lots of support, plenty of laughs and no shortage of fun with a few ball skills learnt as well. It's really amazing what a great group of women can achieve when we get together! Here's to more rugby, more fitness, more skills and plenty more giggles!"

"Wednesday nights are magic! I love being part of the herrings and going to training with the loveliest people every week, learning so many new skills and having a good run around. Rob and Joff are brilliant coaches and both bring so much to the team, helping all of us to develop and improve whilst making each session super fun (and often confusing too - especially some of the drills!!) Herring's training is one of the most supportive, encouraging, loving and inspiring atmospheres I've ever experienced (even when we all get competitive!!). I never fail to leave without a big smile on my face and feeling so much better. Fun drills, learning something new each week, refining and improving skills, and spending time with such a fantastic group of ladies⦠that's what it's all about. I'm feel so lucky to be part of it all"

"Having never played rugby, or any team sport, I was nervous to join the tag rugby training sessions. But a few of my friends raved about how fun it was and reassured me that it didn't matter at all that I didn't know how to play as it's easy to learn. So, I came along one night and loved every minute of it! There is so much laughter, shouting, running around, I leave on a high every week! The two coaches and every single player are welcoming, friendly, kind, and there is such a collective team spirit that binds us all. I have only been playing for a few months but have already learned new skills, made loads of new friends and had more fun than I have in years. I'm looking forward to all the socials, matches, and tournaments and can't wait to see us all progress as a team."
