This weekend was "Finals Weekend". Thank you to all those who came to spectate and of course to those who were in the finals themselves.
Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to all the runners up. Special mention to the two gentlemen(I use the term advisedly😁who were in three of the finals. Quite an achievement.
Especial thanks also to Fred who has been responsible for the organisation of all our club competitions and to Endersby Awards who are responsible for sourcing and engraving our trophies.
We try to encourage all members to take part in club competitions. Partners are allocated randomly by draw and this provides the opportunity to gain experience and make acquaintance with people with whom you may not normally have the chance to partner or play against.
The 2026 season ends next Sunday with the final match of the season. The "Closing Tournament" will consist of 7 rinks of triples reflecting the keeness with which people put down their names to enter. However, whether you are a player or a spectator we hope you will join us to celebrate a successful and enjoyable and largely dry and sunny season (Once it warmed up!😁).
Presentation night takes place on Friday October 2nd. there are still one or two available places for this enjoyable evening to round off the season.
