Canalside Farm Welcome to Canalside Farm, Shop and Cafe located outside Stafford, UK in the village of Great Haywood. Please click on the map above for directions to us

We are a family run Pick Your Own Farm, Shop and Cafe located at the side of the Trent and Mersey Canal in Great Haywood - a beautiful part of Staffordshire. We are committed to sourcing high quality, food and drink from farms and producers within a 30 mile radius of our home, whilst continuing to produce our own fruit, garden vegetables and bedding plants right here on the Farm. Open all year round, our Farm Shop offers a wide range of tasty products for all dietary needs; our Cafe serves home cooked seasonal meals from 'field to plate; our seasonal Plant Centre sells beautiful plants and hanging baskets lovingly nurtured in our own glass house; and we offer 'Pick Your Own' strawberries, raspberries and blackberries during summertime and pumpkins for Halloween! We have some lovely walks and cycle rides which start and finish on our farm, plus host a range of family events throughout the year from murder mystery suppers to creative nature based workshops.

🎃 WHAT A FRIDAY NIGHT! THANK YOU! 🎃

What a wonderful start to our Friday evening pumpkin picking sessions at Canalside Farm!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night, explored our pumpkin patch, enjoyed the street food, soaked up the Halloween atmosphere and helped make our very first late-night opening so special!

We loved seeing so many happy faces, fabulous costumes and families making magical autumn memories together. And of course, a big thank you to our very own amazing team of Ghostbusters for really helping bring the Halloween magic to life!

This really is just the beginning, our Friday evenings and weekends out on the Farm are now both in full swing, and we can’t wait to welcome even more of you over the coming weeks!

🧁NEW TO OUR BAKERY 🧁

You may have noticed something NEW in our Bakery department…

After years of searching for the perfect bakery display, we’ve finally found the one!

We wanted something that would feel completely at home in our Farm Shop, something that complemented our rustic, traditional feel, showcased our freshly baked goodies beautifully, kept everything hygienic, and was practical and easy for our team to use too.

It sounds simple… but finding a display unit that ticked every box proved rather tricky!

Until we found a company who could take our ideas, bring them to life and design and create something completely bespoke for us. 🥐🍞

And we couldn’t be happier with the result!

Our new bakery display gives our cakes, bakes and all those delicious sweet treats the display they deserve, while fitting perfectly into our Farm Shop.

A little change, but one you have been asking for and one we have been dreaming about for a very long time.

Online booking is now open for our Breakfasts & Tea Times with Santa!

Treat your little ones to a magical & cosy, Breakfast or Tea Time with Santa.

Santa will be visiting our Cafe on selected dates throughout December to wish all the children a Merry Christmas, read them a Christmas Story and even meet them individually so can let him know what the would like for Christmas.

Each child will receive a gift from Santa & get to enjoy their breakfast or tea while chatting to Santa himself.

Adult Ticket: £25.95
Child Ticket: £25.95
Infant Ticket (age 2 & under): £9.95

Adults tickets include a meal of your choice from the Adult Menu for the event plus either a hot drink or soft drink per person.

Child tickets include an age appropriate toy of their choosing from Santa plus a meal from the Child Menu for the event, & either a juice carton or a hot chocolate.

Infant tickets (for children aged 2 & under at the time of the event) include an age appropriate toy of their choosing from Santa plus a meal from the Infant Menu for the event, & either a cup of milk or juice carton.
