We’ve had an enquiry from a local gentleman who would like to treat his wife to DAS training and he’s looking for recommendations for a good training school within the Shropshire / Telford & Wrekin area.

So, ladies, over to you! 👇

Which motorcycle training school would you recommend?

We’re looking for somewhere with a good reputation, patient instructors and a supportive approach, particularly for women who may be new to riding or looking to build their confidence.

A good excuse to get the bike out, grab something to eat and meet up with like minded riders.

LDC is a Staffordshire training school, with women at the heart of the team. 🙌

The Women in Moto Show is almost here and it’s happening right on our doorstep at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Staffordshire! 🏍️💕

There’s loads going on throughout the weekend, from Moto Gymkhana and trial rides to try rides, test rides and plenty more.

So if you’re heading along, make sure you bring your riding gear because you never know what you might fancy having a go at! 😉

And if you’re camping, even better - a whole weekend of bikes, laughs, new experiences and meeting other like-minded riders. 😀

If you're looking for a motorcycle event to add to your diary this summer, we wanted to let you know that 'Women in Moto' is returning to Uttoxeter Racecourse, Staffordshire, on the 22nd & 23rd August.

If you'd like to make a weekend of it, camping IS available from Friday 21st August (pm), giving you the opportunity to settle in, meet fellow riders and enjoy a relaxed evening around the campfire with giant toasted marshmallows before the main event begins.

Women in Moto welcomes everyone, whether you're an experienced rider, new to motorcycling or simply enjoy being part of the biking community. It's a great opportunity to discover exhibitors, meet like-minded people and enjoy a weekend celebrating all things motorcycling.

It highlights the consequences that exposed skin can have in an incident and why our choice of riding gear matters.

We're not here to tell anyone what they should wear - every rider makes their own decisions. But we'd love to hear from our Women on Wheels community...

| With the recent warm weather, we know it's tempting for motorcycle riders to swap protective gear for lighter clothing. However, an incident we attended earlier today serves as an important reminder of why appropriate riding gear matters.

Following a road traffic collision in Rugeley today, a motorcyclist came off his bike while wearing only a t-shirt. As a result, he suffered serious grazing injuries to his hands, arms, stomach and back. While these injuries could have been far worse, they are painful, preventable, and likely to have a lasting impact during recovery.

No matter how hot it is, please consider wearing suitable protective clothing every time you ride. Protective jackets, gloves, trousers and sturdy footwear are designed to help reduce injuries if the worst happens.

Remember:
✅ Wear a helmet
✅ Wear motorcycle gloves
✅ Wear a protective jacket and trousers
✅ Wear sturdy, over-the-ankle footwear
✅ Make sure you're visible to other road users

The heat may be uncomfortable, but road rash and serious injuries are far worse.

Please take extra care on our roads and encourage fellow riders to gear up before setting off.
