It was another hot night last Friday over at Stone, but that didn’t stop players from Stafford Rugby Club, Stafford RUFC Women, Stafford RFC Roses and Stafford RUFC Colts coming together over at Stone RFC for round 2 of the South Staffs Friday night touch series.

Both social and development went unbeaten in their pool games and met in a final showdown. The defence was solid from both teams, but against the run of play, the dev team pounced on the final play, getting a score in the corner and taking top spot.

Massive thanks to Stone Rugby Club for hosting, congratulations to every one that played.

The fun doesn’t stop for some, with 9 Stafford Rugby Club members taking part in a national mixed touch comp tomorrow at Old Leamingtonians RFC. Good luck all !

First round of the mixed NTS tomorrow. We have new blood and some old hounds! Let’s go Stormers! ⚡️

2 hours, 4 pitches, 12 teams and 123 players at Stafford RFC last night for round one of the South Staffs Summer Touch Series.

Silky skills, lung busting runs and zero attitude made it a successful night for all the new and experienced teams and a perfect way to kick off the series.

🏆 The raw skills of Stafford Social edged out fierce competition from experienced Cannock Lions to take the winners trophy in a closely fought final match in front of a packed patio.

⭐️ And a big shout out to Stone RFC for their first tournament - their positive vibes and mixed ability team exemplified what touch is all about.
