Perhaps the official sign that marks when the golfing season is back and ready to get underway is when golf moves back to main tee boxes. As we welcome April, golfers can one again enjoy Burghley Park at its full length — whether that’s for team matches, midweek or monthly medals, or leisurely play.

Our Greens team have worked hard over the winter to protect and preserve the tee-areas over winter, ready for right now and the summer of golf ahead.

A new season. New facilities. A new energy at Burghley Park! 🔥

We can finally say spring golf is here! The course is returning to its glorious seasonal colour, shaping up beautifully as we edge closer to the golfing season.

Off the course, it’s all happening.
This weekend, our brand new padel courts open. We can’t wait to see Padel in full swing at Burghley Park as we welcome members, locals and new visitors to .burghleypark launch day tomorrow, Saturday 21 March, ahead of full court opening on Monday 23 March.

And it doesn’t stop there…
Our state-of-the-art indoor golf SIM Studio is nearly ready to launch, bringing a whole new way to play, practice, socialise and compete all year round.

As golf’s “fifth major” begins today, we’re proud to share that our Course Manager, Malcolm, has once again been invited to join the Greens & Agronomy team at TPC Sawgrass for The Players Championship this week.

Having joined the team at last year’s event, Malc returns to learn and work alongside some of the very best in the greenkeeping industry — an experience he takes great pride in.

Great to see Burghley Park represented on the world stage once again. Well done Malc and enjoy the week! ⛳️

Launching this March, we’re introducing a brand new, state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator — courtesy of — in the Burghley Park Golf Club Pro Shop.

Golfers from near and far will be able to visit Stamford’s first indoor golf facility to practice, learn and enjoy the game — whatever the weather!

Head Pro Drew Farrell and Assistant PGA Pro Patrick Kelly will be bringing new and improved indoor coaching and custom fitting sessions, alongside social events, golf leagues and relaxed simulator time, where you and your friends can choose from some of the world’s most iconic courses to play.

Padel is officially coming to Burghley Park Golf Club! 🎾🙌

Two state-of-the-art padel courts are currently being built within the historic grounds of our club, ahead of an exciting March 2026 opening.

We’re partnering with , dedicated to bring the sport, the energy and the community right to the doorstep of Stamford.

Whether you’re keen to try one of the world’s fastest-growing sports or you’re already hooked, Padel X will offer pay & play court hire and a range of memberships to suit how you play, including Founder memberships which available for sign up & purchase now. Plus, social events and coaching programmes are also in the pipeline.

Padel players will have access to clubhouse facilities, our great food & hospitality, with equipment hire available on site too.

POV: it’s 6.30am on the golf course and the leaves are falling faster than you can clear them 🍂😅

It comes with the season, but right now our Greenkeepers are spending around 75% of their working week purely on leaf clearance.

A typical morning set-up sees the team out with backpack blowers clearing greens, tees, paths and playing surfaces, while another jumps on the Trilo leaf collector to keep things moving.

It’s a relentless time of year, welcomed each morning by the same scene to rinse and repeat, all while the essential weekly practices continue: mowing greens and approaches, changing holes and carrying out the upkeep needed to give golfers the best possible winter playing experience.

The team are doing a great job, so if you spot the team out on the course, a smile, thumbs up or a thank you goes a long way! 😊👍
