Pop to Wild Mint Café - Golden Days Garden Centre for an icecream with the little ones. There’s children’s activities on Monday to Friday over the summer holidays plus a free small play area. What’s not to like.

The BookCycle is amazing and offers something for everyone.

There is a room full of Children’s books where children can explore and have the freedom to pick their own stories.

The BookCycle is a charity, you give a cash donation for the books that you take and they are yours to keep or take back when you have enjoyed them.

Who remembers making perfume? I had hours of fun picking flowers to make perfume or magic potions when I was a little girl. Today it was my girls turn to enjoy the magic with Grandma and Grandad. 💕QuirkyBee

So simple, all you need is:

1) Draw a vase on an old piece of card.
2)Add holes with a kebab stick
3) Let the children design/ colour the vase
4) get out in the fresh air and go collecting. ( Can even be done in your garden)

☀️I’ve seen lots of posts asking where to go and what to do during the school holidays so I will share a few ideas with you. ☀️

Today’s tip would be to try WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, it’s about a 25 minutes drive from Standish.

Very accessible for pushchairs, wheelchairs or those struggling with mobility. There are wheelchairs there to use if needed.

What’s there:
A massive range of birds/ ducks (you can buy duck food there to feed them)
Den building
Lego Sculptures
A small park in a wooded area
Canoe Rides
Indoor craft area
A lovely cafe
A park suitable for all ages
sand area in the park
Water play (in the park area)
Toilet facilities
Lots of benches to rest at
Areas for Picnics
Teepee’s and huts for the little ones to play and run around
2 Otters, there’s feeding and talks
Sensory garden
Under 4’s are free
There’s lots more to add to the list

QuirkyBee directors have been kept busy for at least an hour with a sheet, stickers, pens, pencils and crayons. You can stick anything to the dots. If you want to print the apple off to entertain your little ones for an hour I will it add as a photo.
