Stanford Warriors Martial Arts for all ages from 3 years through to Adults including MMA, Ju-Jitsu, Kickboxing and more FAQ

What age do you start children from?

Answer - We start at 4 years upwards

What do they need to wear? Answer - A tracksuit and t shirt and socks

Do you do trial lessons? Answer - No we do not offer trial lessons. Most children take up to 4 weeks to decide whether jujitsu is for them - each lesson is different each week and most need that month to get a feel for the classes. If after the first month they have decided not to continue

- we simply cancel their membership and no further payment is made. How much are sessions? Answer - we have different class prices depending on how many sessions you would like to attend. Please message for further information. Can I stay with my child? Answer - Parents do not stay and watch however, of course you are more than welcome at the beginning of class when they come for the first few sessions if that will help settle your child.

Please remember that parents/carers are responsible for supervising children at all times, especially as there is a road nearby.

🥋🏆 STANFORD WARRIORS – BJJA BRITISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026! 🏆🥋

What an incredible day for Stanford Warriors Ju-Jitsu Club at the BJJA British National Championships in Walsall!

We took a fantastic team of 21 competitors and achieved an amazing 23 MEDALS! 🥇🥈🥉🔥

But today was about so much more than medals.

We had brand-new competitors stepping onto the national mats for the first time, alongside our seasoned competitors, and every single one of them did us proud. The courage, determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the day was outstanding. 💪🥋

All those extra hours of training over the summer with Sensei Scott certainly paid off. The hard work, commitment and determination the team put in during those additional sessions really showed on the mats today. 👏

It was also fantastic to see our Warriors partnering each other in the randoms, working together and helping one another towards even more medals. 🏅 That teamwork sums up exactly what our club is about — not just competing for yourself, but supporting the person beside you too.

What made us especially proud was the support throughout the whole team — cheering each other on, helping one another prepare, mentoring our newer competitors and celebrating each other’s achievements. ❤️🖤

We’d also like to say a HUGE thank you to our main sponsor, Godfrey & Lappage Services Ltd, alongside our other fantastic team sponsors for supporting Stanford Warriors. Your support for our club and our competitors is hugely appreciated.

And of course, thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who helped make the day possible — from getting everyone there to cheering from the sidelines.

Win, lose or medal, we couldn’t be prouder of every Warrior who stepped onto those mats.

Brilliant day for our warriors. We only sent 11 fighters and we still finished 3rd best in Britain...... absolutely amazing effort from all the students who took part!!!!
