A huge thank you to Team D&Gs amazing Field of Play volunteers Darren Maxwell and Graham Robinson 🙌

They have worked their socks off again this week at the Swim England National Summer meet 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

13 days volunteering - long hot days poolside isn’t an easy ask but we know our swimmers just love having a familiar friendly face especially when the nerves appear, and lots of the other clubs swimmers have appreciated them too! 🥰

Day 6 Finals at Swim England Summer Meet - that’s a wrap!

And what a way to finish Summer Nationals 🙌

Peter won Bronze in the 18+Male/Open 400 IM with a new PB, in his first National Final too!

Emily just missed out on a bronze in her 18+ 200 IM by 0.01 second, so close but a seasons best and a fantastic last 50! 🏊‍♀️👍

And a huge shout out to coach Chomp for all his help supporting Team D&G this week - THANK YOU 🙏 ⭐

Well done to every swimmer who has competed over the last month - whether in individual swims or relays.
It’s been a great 1st Nationals as D&G and everyone should be very proud of their achievements.

Remember - just to even be invited to compete is a massive achievement so congratulations to you all.

Both Peter and Emily had fantastic controlled heat swims this morning - both with seasons best to secure their final swims in their events 🙌

Swim England National Summer Meet

It’s day 6 - the last day of the Swim England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 National Summer Meet.

It has been a busy July with swimmers competing back to back at Scottish Nationals 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Aquatics GB Next Gen 🇬🇧 National Open Water 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and English Nationals 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿all with great attitude and effort and with some fantastic results - and we still have 2 of Team D&G competing on the last day 🙌

First up is Peter in the 400 IM - his event starts at 11am and Peter is in heat 7 lane 3 🏊‍♂️

Then it’s Emily in the next event, at 11:45 the 200 IM and Emily is in heat 10 lane 4 🏊‍♀️

Today is the penultimate day at the Swim England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 National Summer Meet and Team D&G have a day off racing ☺️

Last night was Day 4 Finals 🔥

Lewis’s last swim at this year’s Summer Nationals and he took Bronze in the 18+ Open 100 Backstroke in a close finished race, just off his seasons best.

Day 4 at the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Summer Nationals meet and we are now over the half way point!

After a busy day 3, we have Lewis going solo today for Team D&G 🙌

He is racing in the 100 Backstroke which starts at 9:35 🏊‍♀️

He is in heat 12 lane 4

Swim England National Summer Meet

Day 3 Finals at the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Summer Nationals meet and it was a double medal night for Team D&G 🔥🔥

First up was Lewis in the 100 fly taking Gold 🥇 from lane 8 in a fantastic race - just 0.4 off his PB 🙌 and he was presented with his medal by Dad & D&G Chair Darren Maxwell 🥰

Next it was the girls in the 200 Freestyle - Emily had set herself a race plan for her 1st 100 and executed it perfectly 👍

Talia swam a very strong race from the start taking 🥈 in a new PB of 2.04.44 🙌

Well that’s day 3 heats session completed at the Swim England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 National Summer Meet

A great morning for a team D&G 👍

Hetty had a solid swim for her 1st time at Nationals in the 100 Breaststroke and Joe knocked 2 seconds off his PB in his 100 Fly 👏👏

Congratulations to them both - just to have qualified at 13&14 is a huge achievement and you are both such an inspiration to our younger swimmers watching on live stream back home 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

We hope you have both enjoyed and learned from the experience and that this will just be the start of your National journey - well done, now time for some R&R before the start of next season 🙌
