Our wonderful residents at Martins House had such a lovely time getting creative during a colourful arts and crafts session ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ’œ

Using cotton buds, bright paints and plenty of imagination, everyone created their own firework inspired masterpieces with dots, swirls and sweeping bursts of colour across the page. Residents really enjoyed comparing their artwork at the end and chatting about their favourite designs ๐Ÿ˜Š

A fun and relaxed afternoon filled with creativity, laughter and a splash of colour ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’œ

What a fun afternoon we had at Martins House during our community games event ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’œ

Our wonderful residents really got into the competitive spirit during a game of ping pong, with lots of cheering, laughter and encouragement from everyone watching along. Sylvia stole the show by landing an impressive 5 out of 6 balls into the cups, earning herself the title of champion for the day ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜Š

It was such a lovely atmosphere with everyone joining in, supporting each other and enjoying a good laugh together. Weโ€™re already looking forward to the next games afternoon ๐Ÿ’œ

There were lots of sweet smiles around Martins House today as our wonderful residents got creative making their own mini desserts ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ˜Š

With meringues, fresh fruit, whipped cream and plenty of chocolate chips to choose from, everyone had fun putting together their own tasty treats. Some kept theirs nice and simple while others piled on a little bit of everything ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ

The best part was sitting together afterwards and enjoying them with a chat and a laugh ๐Ÿ’œ

Excuse the pun... but we discovered some budding artists at Martins House as some of our wonderful residents took part in our very first still life drawing session ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒผ

Using a beautiful flower vase as inspiration, we all settled in for an afternoon of sketching, creativity, and a good chat along the way. It was wonderful seeing everyone bring their own style to the page, and the finished artwork really was incredible!

We are always amazed by the wonderful skills and talents our residents have, and this was such a lovely reminder that there is always something new to discover about one another. We have some truly talented people here at Martins House ๐Ÿ’œ

Weโ€™re so proud of Natalie, our activity coordinator at Martins House, who recently took on an incredible 26 mile walk in support of Macmillan Cancer Support . The route started in Cromer and finished at Holkham Hall, with thousands of people coming together for this special annual fundraising weekend.

Natalie set off at 7.30am and crossed the finish line at 7.10pm after a full 12 hours of walking, with a few well earned coffee and refreshment stops along the way โ˜€๏ธ She was joined by her brother, sister in law and her 15 year old niece, making it a real family effort from start to finish.

Between them, Natalie has already raised a staggering ยฃ450 for the cause, helping contribute to the incredible ยฃ1,000,000 total raised across the event so far. Such a fantastic achievement for such an important charity ๐Ÿ’œ

If anyone would like to support Natalieโ€™s efforts, her JustGiving page is https://mightyhikesfundraising.macmillan.org.uk/fundraising/natalies-fundraising-page1383?utm_medium=email&utm_source=PostOffice&utm_campaign=DS_EVENTS-LFC_Trans_NthDonation&utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-CL&utm_content=MPC&utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-EM&utm_content=MPC . Every donation, big or small, really does make a difference.

Our green fingered residents were busy getting stuck into the very first Gardening Club of 2026 at Martins House as we celebrated National Gardening Week ๐ŸŒฑ

With pots at the ready and our sleeves rolled up, everyone enjoyed planting the seeds gifted to us from Motherโ€™s Day. There were some bright mixes to encourage wildlife and some cheerful sunflowers too. It's safe to say, our garden is going to be looking blooming lovely before we know it ๐ŸŒป

We are already looking forward to our next meeting! ๐Ÿ’œ

A little bit of everything was on the agenda at Martins House as the lovely Anna from Home.FitVitality joined us for a free taster exercise session ๐Ÿ’ช

From beanbag toss and basketball to chair boxing and passing the football, our wonderful residents gave everything a go. There was plenty of encouragement, lots of smiles, and just when we thought we had done enough moving, the Macarena made an appearance too!

It was wonderful seeing everyone getting involved in their own way and having such a giggle together. Thank you, Anna, for bringing such great energy to our home ๐Ÿ’œ

Martins House was full of music and dancing this afternoon as residents enjoyed a fantastic visit from Dan from KJ & The Catt ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’œ

There were plenty of old favourites being sung along to, from Sweet Caroline to Knees Up Mother Brown, with a little Elvis and Cliff Richard thrown in for good measure too. Before long, there was lots of toe tapping, dancing together, and residents belting out the words with big smiles all round ๐Ÿ˜Š

A really lovely afternoon of music, memories, and great company for everyone at our home.

Our coffee morning was a lovely hit with our wonderful residents at Martins House โ˜•๏ธโœจ

The room was full of friendly chats, laughter and plenty of storytelling as everyone settled in with a warm drink and enjoyed spending time together. Thereโ€™s something so special about these simple moments shared around the table ๐Ÿ’œ

Alongside the coffees, we had a delicious selection of cakes and biscuits which went down very well with everyone. It was such a relaxed and cheerful morning, and lovely to see residents connecting and enjoying each otherโ€™s company ๐Ÿ˜Š

Weโ€™re already looking forward to the next one!
