How has it been a whole week already since our amazing 20th Anniversary show?

Hopefully the children have been enjoying looking through all of their photos on the online gallery! There are some beautiful pictures and memories there!

Here’s a little look at what took place to transform the empty stage into the wonderful production that you all saw! We’re so lucky to have such an amazing technical team who put so much into making our shows so fabulous! They are simply incredible! ❤️

And a huge thank you to the fab Gordon Craig Theatre crew too for getting stuck in with all the chaos! ❤️

With the summer holidays upon us, we are already preparing for our next cohort of Associate students.

The performance industry is continually evolving and is more competitive than ever. Our Première Associate Programme is aimed at students pushing for excellence and looking to take their training to the next level in preparation for auditioning and working in the industry. Associate students will have additional performance opportunities throughout the year to help expand their performance experiences.

Places on the programme are very limited and can be gained by audition only. Any students attending 4 or more classes per week are eligible to audition for our Junior Associate programme, and students attending 6 or more of our classes per week are eligible for our Intermediate and Senior Associates. If successful in gaining a place, the Associate Programme classes are absolutely FREE!

Our next auditions for the 2026/2027 Associates Teams will be held on Sunday 13th September. If your child would like to audition, please complete the audition form and return it no later than Saturday 15th August ❤️

🎓 ASSISTANT TEACHER AWARD 🎓

With the new academic year fast approaching, we are now enrolling for our new cohort of Assitant Teachers for 2026/27.

The RAD Assistant Teacher Award is aimed at students aged 14 years and over wishing to take their first steps towards a career in dance teaching. The Award is open to students studying and taking classes in any dance genre, and provides opportunities to practice, develop and demonstrate a range of practical and professional skills required for successful dance teaching. It is a brilliant step towards finding out what it’s like to be a dance teacher.

Grounded in practice-based (studio) learning, Assistant Teacher Award students will be guided every step of the way by Approved Tutors, all of whom having undergone a rigorous application process, will be trained in how the Assistant Teacher Award is delivered and assessed, and have attended compulsory Approved Tutor annual training and standardisation.

As well as meeting the practical, studio based competencies, students will produce a self-reflective report (written or verbal) on what has been learnt, and what is felt is still to be learnt as an Assistant Teacher.

Students will complete a minimum of 60 hours of Assistant Teaching as agreed and verified by their approved tutor. As well as their assisting hours, students will need to attend regular mentoring sessions to discuss and reflect upon a variety of skills including teaching strategies & competencies, genre knowledge, and professional & communication skills.

⭐️ REWIND 2026 ⭐️

I can’t even begin to put in to words how incredibly proud I am of every single one of our wonderful students that took to the stage this weekend and put on the most amazing performances. You have all worked so hard this term and it most definitely paid off, you absolutely smashed it! On top of that, you all behaved so professionally backstage, it was just pure joy seeing you all having the best time both on and off stage. Forever proud of you all!

To our amazing teachers Hayley, Charli and Damani, our students are so lucky to have such incredible teachers to inspire and nurture them, and to push them to be the very best version of themselves that they can be. Your hard work and support shines through in the children, and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful team.

A huge thank you to our brilliant chaperones for all of your hard work, the show simply could not take place without you. We are so grateful for all of your time and help to make sure the children all have the most wonderful experience.

To our incredible technical team, I just can’t thank you all enough for everything you have done to make this show so fabulous. It has been an exceptionally long and tiring week, but the whole production was absolutely stunning. We are so lucky to have you and we are so grateful for the long days and all that you do for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Finally to all of our parents, thank you for your continued support and patience across this incredibly busy term. We appreciate you all so much, and I hope you enjoyed the show!

I hope you all have a wonderful summer break, and I can’t wait to see all the students back in the studio in September!
