We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from the Barclays Community Sport Fund, being delivered in partnership with Sported.

The Barclays Community Sport Fund offers grants, training and support resources to help reduce inequalities in sport – with a focus on football, tennis and cricket. The fund supports community groups and grassroots sports organisations (like ours) who make sport more accessible to young people from underrepresented groups.

Sported is the UK’s leading grassroots sports charity. They deliver funding and support to a network of more than 5,000 clubs and community groups – strengthening communities and transforming the lives of over a million people each year.

Presentation day 2026 marks lights out on another amazing season for Stevenage Starlets FC. There’s been highs, lows and inbetweens. Great results, results never to be mentioned again but most of all there’s been girls playing football as part of an amazing club in Stevenage.

All of this would not be possible without the hard work of a very dedicated team of people. Be that the secretary, the chair persons, the treasurer, the welfare officer, the admin staff and the coaching team. All of which are volunteers. Most with full time jobs and family commitments.

A huge thank you to all the girls for their efforts at each and every match and training session.

Let’s not forget the parents, without the countless miles travelled for matches, the setting up and putting away of equipment for pitches, the constant washing of kit.

Grassroots clubs: “Facilities are impossible to get.”
Kingshott School: “Here’s a venue, a rainbow, a pond, and probably a unicorn if you look closely.”

They gave us a venue so magical I’m convinced a faun should’ve greeted us at the gate.
Presentation Day = Narnia but with football boots.

Next year we’ll need fire breathing dragons or better as the bar is now set very high!

It’s finally here – our favourite day of the season: Presentation Day! 🏆⚽

We can’t wait to see everyone as we come together to celebrate another fantastic season and recognise all the hard work, commitment and achievements of our players.

Just a reminder that our venue has changed and this year’s event will take place at Kingshott School, Hitchin.

We’re looking forward to celebrating with you all! 🎉
