Stevenage Pickleball has 170 members but is keen to introduce more people to the fastest growing sport in the UK.
We start a new block of Beginner Sessions on Tuesday 2nd June (11.30-12.30) that will run for 6 weeks to 7th July. If you have played any racket sports or table tennis you are likely to only need 2 to 4 sessions. Equipment/coaching provided £3 per session.
If you are a 'worker' and cannot make Tuesday then we have a Sunday session from 10-12 that can accommodate Beginners. Equipment/coaching provided £5 per session.

Latest figures on the growth of Pickleball from our National Governing Body. Given there are 7-8,000 players in Herts alone l think this understates total participation significantly. Our Club now has 170 members, a 70% increase in the last year

Pickleball continues its incredible rise in England
A huge thank you to everyone across the pickleball ecosystem — players, clubs, volunteers, venues, coaches and partners — for being part of this journey. Your passion and commitment are driving the growth of our sport every single day.
The latest Active Lives data for 2024/25 has exceeded our forecasts, reinforcing what we’re seeing on the ground: demand for pickleball continues to accelerate.
We’re especially proud to see that pickleball is the only racket sport with more women than men participating — a testament to the inclusive and accessible nature of the game.
And the momentum is building:
In the last 12 months alone, we’ve seen 8 new pickleball facilities open, bringing the total to 11 and counting.
With growing demand and increasing infrastructure, this is just the beginning. The foundations are in place for even greater growth in the years ahead.

Pickleball Leaders from the Club were kept busy at the Living Well With Parkinson's event at Hampson Park. Dan Saxby and Maggie O'Connor had plenty of participants on the court while the Club's new Rebound Net manned by Peter Simmons was well used.
Over 50 participants with Parkinson's attended and while many are still working there will definitely be new attendees at the Pickleball for Parkinson's sessions at Stevenage, Letchworth and St Albans run with Everyone Active
