Street Dance classes went great tonight for Jahnel’s first day at Emerald! 🔥🤩

💜 A Decade of Emerald! 💜

Yesterday's show marked 10 years of Emerald Dance Academy and what a special celebration it was!
In the excitement of the day, I didn't get the chance to say everything I wanted to say, and some of you will know I don’t like public speaking! 😂

Looking back over the last decade, I am extremely grateful for every student, parent, teacher, supporter, and friend who has been part of this journey.
One of the things that makes me most proud is seeing dancers who joined us as tiny 3 or 4 year olds still dancing with us 10 years later.
Some of the children who started dancing with us in our very first years are now teenagers, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow, not just as dancers, but as confident, kind and talented young people.
Yesterday's show wasn't just about celebrating a milestone. It was about celebrating every friendship made, every challenge overcome, every achievement, every performance, and every child who has found a place to belong within our dance family.

Yesterday was more than a show, it was a celebration of 10 incredible years, and I couldn't be prouder.
Here's to the memories we've made and the many more still to come. ❤️

🌟Meet Jahnel!🌟
Our New Street Dance Teacher!

After the show, our Monday Street Dance classes will be welcoming an amazing new teacher, Jahnel!
Jahnel has been dancing since she was 12 years old and teaching since she was 17.
She grew up training in street dance styles and has spent years developing her skills as both a performer and teacher. She loves learning new styles, challenging herself, and sharing her passion for dance with others.
Over the years, Jahnel has had some incredible opportunities in the professional dance industry. She has performed with Lizzo at the BRIT Awards, danced at Mikaela Mayer's O2 boxing event, appeared in a Dove advert, performed in the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony, and featured in the Arsenal x Declan Rice campaign.
She has recently filmed a feature film and appeared in a Disney series, both of which are due to be released later this year!
Jahnel is passionate about helping young dancers grow in confidence, develop their skills, and most importantly, have fun.
She can't wait to meet everyone, bring lots of energy to classes, and help our dancers learn exciting new routines and techniques.
We can't wait for everyone to meet Miss Jahnel!
