Open today! After more than three years on Stewarton’s High Street, The Book Nook is relocating to a dedicated area within Stewarton Library.
The move reflects the strong alignment between The Book Nook and East Ayrshire Leisure’s shared commitment to enriching lives through culture, learning and reader development. The timing is especially fitting in the .
Locals and visitors alike are warmly invited to join The Book Nook in its new home. Opening hours Tues 9.30am-5.30pm, Wed 9.30am-8pm, Thur 9.30am-6.30pm, Fri 9.30am-4.00pm, Sat 9.30am-3.30pm

Big news, Book Nookers! A new chapter is about to begin…
In just 10 days, The Book Nook opens its doors in a new home within Stewarton — inside the Stewarton Area Centre, in an exciting and innovative partnership with East Ayrshire Leisure Ltd.
Same bookshop, same heart — a brand‑new home, opening Tuesday 3rd March.
We’ll still be your independent bookshop, still running all your favourite clubs, children’s sessions and author events, and still championing community, wellbeing and the joy of reading. Our new space and new collaboration will let us do even more.

To accomodate staff training Morton Hall and Stewarton Area Centre will open slightly later at 5pm today 16 February.
Auchinleck and Cumnock Libraries will close between 2.30pm & 4.30pm on Thursday 19 February.

All town centre car parks are available to use during our panto season, with Titchfield Street Car Park, Sturrock Street West and East Car Parks, Princess Street and Loanhead Street Car Parks are all within a very short walking distance of The Galleon Auditorium.
Kilmarnock Train Station and Bus Stations are a short seven-minute walk.
Please be considerate and courteous to our neighbours and local businesses especially around entrances and exits to private residences and business.
