SCG Muirhead Pairs Saturday 21 st December at the Peak
A good day of excellent curling took place on Saturday in the Muirhead
Pairs. It was especially pleasing to see four of our juniors competing.
The pool stages were closely contested, and eventually the top two of
each pool progressed to the semi-finals.
Craig and Conner McCallum (Loch Ard) met Murray Henderson & Arran
Bauer (Stirling Young Curlers) in the first semi, where it was all square
going into the final end. The SYC juniors managed to steal a three to
progress to the final.
A second very close semi followed, with James Dunn & Ian More (Loch Ard) meeting Lee & Judith McCleary (Keir), with Dunn & More running out narrow winners.
In the final, the juniors Henderson & Bauer played an exceptional game with Dunn & More conceding after five ends at 11 – 1. They are now winners of the Stirling Muirhead Pairs, and qualify to represent Stirling at the National Pairs competition.

Silver at 🥈 Not the result we were chasing, but hats off to Team Germany for a strong performance. We gave it everything in the hunt for our fifth European title, but it just wasn’t in the cards this time.
