Caledonia Box Cup Returns for a Second Year 🏴
The Caledonia Box Cup, in association with Boxing Scotland, is set to take place at the Grangemouth Sports Complex from the 3rd-5th April 2026. This event promises to be a highlight of the boxing season, strategically scheduled over Easter weekend to accommodate coaches and boxers from across the UK.
To ensure the quality of competition, the Caledonia Box Cup will be an “open class” tournament, spanning from schoolboy year 2013 all the way to senior. We kindly request that only boxers of open class standard be entered to prevent last minute withdrawals due to inexperience. By registering for this tournament, you confirm that your boxer meets this standard and is ready to compete at this level 🥊
We are situated in central Scotland, conveniently located between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The Grangemouth Sports Complex provides the perfect venue for this event. This year, we will be inviting boxers from Europe, most notably the Eastern Bloc. We always envisioned the Caledonia Box Cup becoming a staple in the annual boxing calendar, bringing together clubs and boxers from far and wide 🌍. Last year, a high percentage of Scottish clubs entered, along with some from England and Ireland. This year, we aim to attract more boxers internationally 🎯. We will also be increasing our entry capacity for more boxing throughout the weekend 👌🏼
Any boxers who are eliminated from the tournament on the first or second day will have the opportunity to participate in sparring sessions at our gym while the tournament continues. This ensures that everyone can make the most of the weekend, regardless of the result. Our gym is conveniently located just a five minute walk, and 1 minute drive away from the venue.
We strive to make ‘Caledonia Box Cup’ a resounding success for a second year, and we hope that clubs from all over the UK will support our event and sign up. Follow us, Sparta Boxing Academy and Doghouse Boxing Gym on social media for updates and more information throughout the coming months.
We are once again grateful to Boxing Scotland for setting up our entry portal. The link to enter our box cup will be coming soon‼️
